rcgs··on Ed McMillen: Ubuntu Store Sold Super Meat Boy Without Permission, Has Yet To Pay
As someone who likes to understand potential security issues, and who has just embarked upon a project which is using PostgreSQL, what is the subtext of your comment?
rcgs··on Open Source ARM userland
This mirrors my experience for Element 14 in the UK; ordered on the 11th and received on the 18th.
rcgs··on So I Made A Mashup, And Then…
Most webfonts look OK on windows vista and up.
rcgs··on Things I, as a designer, wish more tech startups knew
A good "full stack" designer is a very rare thing.
rcgs··on Nokia Launches Lumia 920: 8MP PureView, NFC, Wireless Charging, Windows Phone 8
I suspect they'll look better in the flesh.

If you design for them it is, although I can't say the knowledge means you are or aren't a technical person in any way.
rcgs··on GIMP is Now a Self-Contained Native App for Mac OS X
When I made my comment I was really referring to one or two-step processes, such as creating a new layer, or adding a border to an image. These things are very easy to do in photoshop, but GIMP makes them more complex than they need to be. (adding dialogues when you create a new layer), requiring a filter to add a border to an image (but I'd be surprised if they hadn't changed that by now).
rcgs··on GIMP is Now a Self-Contained Native App for Mac OS X
As someone who uses Photoshop almost every day, it's nowhere near a "photoshop killer". The workflow is still one of the worst I have stumbled across.
rcgs··on Obesity and Fitness Are Revolutionized By Reddit, Not Doctors
Clearly we should all be eating Lemon Curd.
rcgs··on The new Digg
It's almost like it isn't a finished product.
rcgs··on NBCOlympics’ Opening Ceremony Tape Delay: Stupid, Stupid, Stupid
* If you don't pay and watch live TV.

You can choose not to have a TV and not pay the license. Without the license you can still watch BBC iPlayer (although not the live bit).

rcgs··on The Minecraft API Is Now On Github
So it's a choice between bad and worse?
rcgs··on Designing an effective pricing table
There was no discussion of design theory in this article. A better title would be "Marking up a pricing table".
rcgs··on Beware of blind elitism
Shouldn't have to. Safari is perfectly adequate. Heck, I get the message on v20 of Google Chrome.
rcgs··on My $47 collapsible standing desk
I'm not sure about the health benefits, but it certainly helps your posture.
rcgs··on MVC is dead, it's time to MOVE on
There isn't, but then is MVC really MVC when you've added in another layer?
rcgs··on Petition to stop extradition of UK hacker
Earning money via advertising is not a crime. Google does this.

Annoyingly, O'Dwyer's wikipedia article is scant for information on UK charges & the reasons for extradition - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_ODwyer. If anything, it is quite unclear which UK laws he has broken.

rcgs··on Petition to stop extradition of UK hacker
So does Google. Your point?
rcgs··on Bringhurst's The Elements of Typography (for the web)
D'oh, sorry about that. I've just stuck the BSD 2-Clause license on there, so feel free to fork away :).
rcgs··on Bringhurst's The Elements of Typography (for the web)
I actually did that because it was bothering me. https://github.com/ralphsaunders/hacked-news
rcgs··on Microsoft Introduces New "Surface" Tablet
It's .2mm thinner than the iPad.
rcgs··on MacBook Pro Retina Display Analysis
It didn't look like you could set it to 2880x1800 (1:1), unless I missed something.
rcgs··on MacBook Pro gets Retina Display; MacBook Air updated with Ivy Bridge
It would be native, it'd be 1:1.
rcgs··on Diablo 3 bug report: "Passwords not case-sensitive."
Just like how we shouldn't worry about big kids Sony and their 70+ million network being compromised?

Telling people not to worry about security works until they, inevitably, have their data compromised. Technically aware consumers have a responsibility to put pressure on companies to be secure with information.
