rbatista19··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (September 2026)
cloro | Founding Engineer, Data Scientist, Founding Operations, Founding Marketer | REMOTE (EU timezones) | Full-time | https://cloro.dev/careers/

cloro is one API for search and AI answers. You send a query, we return Google, Google News, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok and Copilot results as structured fields: the answer, the sources it cited, and the position each result held. Teams use it to measure whether their brand shows up in AI answers, and to stop maintaining eight scrapers that break whenever a provider changes its markup overnight.

We are bootstrapped, remote across EU timezones, and small enough that every role below works directly with the founders.

Open roles:

* Founding Engineer | $80k-150k | backend and infra, heavy on large-scale collection. https://cloro.dev/careers/founding-engineer/

* Data Scientist | $60k-100k | turn our AI-search corpus into published research and track the engines as they change. https://cloro.dev/careers/data-scientist/

* Founding Operations | $50k-80k | finance, ops, marketing and product systems. An all-rounder role for someone who would rather build a system than run a task twice. https://cloro.dev/careers/founding-operations/

* Founding Marketer | $40k-70k | own SEO, content, and visibility in AI search. https://cloro.dev/careers/founding-marketer/

We work AI-native: Claude and Claude Code are in the loop daily across engineering, ops and marketing. Being genuinely good with these tools is part of the job rather than a bonus.

rbatista19··on Google Kills Custom Search API on Jan 1, 2027
Plenty of alternatives that scrape Google: SearchApi, Serper, cloro, etc.
rbatista19··on LinkedIn is the fakest platform of them all
Totally. It feels like it is stuck in 2015.

Luckily we found a much better solution, something that actually sources with reasoning, and gets us real contact information (not crappy InMails).

rbatista19··on Show HN: Earned $50k+ on UpWork, but spent 100h+ to get those gigs – until today
My co-founder and I spent hundreds of hours on UpWork:

- First, build an awesome profile (at least you think it is, but then you iterate 1000 times)

- Then, search for keywords (yeah, some of them are pretty bad, but after 20h you get which ones work)

- Now, time for filtering the bad posts, and the fake ones, and then finally you get a decent one - but it has 30 applicants already.

Does this sound familiar?

UpWork and others do a bad job at filtering and matching, so we scratched our own itch and built gigsent(.)com.

Our plan is screen, curate and help in the application. We only did the first two, so next is:

- Incorporate more sources (freelancer.com, reddit, etc.)

- Generate personalized application answers (still talking to users on how to best do this)

We are still in early stages so feedback is super appreciated.

P.S.: We would love to have shared this for free, but scraping + filtering + matching is SUPER expensive (we barely make any money out of each subscription).

rbatista19··on Show HN: Netflix for AI movies – built with Cursor in 2 days
Nice! The images take ages to load :(
rbatista19··on Show HN: We were tired of bureaucracy, so we build a repo for the best guides
Really great point - the word "bureaucracy" was used more as a bait, but it might slander a few indeed.

Agree on the private sector as well, small steps!

rbatista19··on Show HN: We were tired of bureaucracy, so we build a repo for the best guides
Hey, thanks for the feedback!

It's a bit a chicken & egg problem: for the traffic to pick up and have contributors, we need to start by adding some content - some of which we have already gone through and fixed it, other not yet there.

We will get there over time, and work with providers that can also bring the quality up!

rbatista19··on Show HN: I made an app to remind people who forget to join meetings
Ahahah it’s either one of: a) culturally late (the reminder is effective here), b) they don’t want to join (the reminder does little), c) they don’t like me :’(
rbatista19··on Show HN: I was tired of low-quality AI content, so I built a better version
There is no proof that Google refuses AI content. As long as it is helpful, it ranks just like any other - proof are the websites using this tool and growing in rankings (screenshot on the website).
rbatista19··on XAI, Elon Musk's OpenAI rival, is closing on $6B in funding
“We all received an email that basically said, ‘It’s now $6B on $18B, and don’t complain because a lot of other people want in.” - Musk playing his game :)
rbatista19··on Show HN: I was tired of low-quality AI content, so I built a better version
I agree that long term it is annoying, but in the short term it lets you rank moderately. We're playing the game Google is giving us...
rbatista19··on Show HN: I was tired of low-quality AI content, so I built a better version
Fair enough, I will remove it ;)
rbatista19··on Show HN: I was tired of low-quality AI content, so I built a better version
Not necessarily. I was a user of the product myself - until I have a user base that can vouch for the product, I can vouch for it ;) But I promise to take it off after a few more come!
rbatista19··on Show HN: Emilio organizes your email, saving 60% of time – get to know the v1.0
Yellow Hackers!

Dani and I have been building Emilio for emails (pun intended).

Emilio is an AI-powered email manager that automates tasks to save users time. The key functionalities are sorting prioritized emails, summarizing messages and drafting emails with the user's tone (this last one is yet to come). The service operates in the background and integrates with your Gmail / Google Workspace account.

We underwent a Google certification in the past month, so now we’re ready to release it. Most might say: why do I need another AI email client? Well, Emilio works better than most (mix of AI and deterministic algorithms), plus you don’t need to install anything else - it just works on Gmail.

We are still in the beginning, would be amazing to have your feedback - don’t be soft!

rbatista19··on Show HN: Gemini OpenAI API Proxy. Serverless
Gotcha, thanks!
rbatista19··on Show HN: Kickstart your blog without any budget
I have forked Blogen and made my version available to the public.

It generates a complete blog post for a given keyword (gotta do that keyword research first): title, introduction, key takeaways, internal linking, service/product promotion, table of contents, FAQ, conclusion.

Basic yet effective to start ranking. The code is not pretty but does the job.

Credits go to gaurav18115 for the initial version.

Disclaimer 1: don’t expect high quality coming out of this tool. It should not be a replacement for much better tools like SEObotai or JournalistAI.

Disclaimer 2: you might be against AI-generated content, but Google is OK with it - as long it is useful to the reader.

Feel free to fork it and improve it.

rbatista19··on Show HN: Hey – Open Source Decentralized Social Media
Hey is tightly associated with hey.com, better try a different branding?
rbatista19··on Show HN: Gemini OpenAI API Proxy. Serverless
Even if you use a VPN to get the Gemini API key, doesn't the Google server check your IP server location?
