razorbeamz··on The Cornetto Ice Cream Cone Framework for Prompting
LLMs are forcing people to learn how to ask questions, I guess.

This is literally just how you ask someone to do something.

razorbeamz··on Wax motor
Isn't this more like a solenoid than a motor?
razorbeamz··on AI Robots – When will they be in our homes
The text reads like a passage from an ESL textbook.
razorbeamz··on AI Robots – When will they be in our homes
They'll have to define AI first, and they're hesitant to do so.
razorbeamz··on Of Gods and Languages: On "When God Spoke Greek" (2013)
Or Japanese
razorbeamz··on Spaceships (Reverse Asteroid)
Nintendo and Namco made a multiplayer Pac-Man for GameCube where three players play as ghosts on Game Boy Advances and can see the whole map, while one player plays as Pac-Man with a limited view.
razorbeamz··on Why is Google still serving dodgy ads?
Simple: They don't care.
razorbeamz··on ChatGPT Images 2.5
> None of the examples show things where you just need an image directly, e.g. product labels, signage, sprites, textures, images for websites etc.

I think this is because recently there has been extreme backlash to this sort of thing.

razorbeamz··on I resigned from Anthropic today
How do you think he feels knowing the basilisk will eat him first /s
razorbeamz··on What's within a 10-minute walk in 50 European cities
Because it was AI generated and not proofread.
razorbeamz··on Ask HN: What's a Good Physical Printer?
Just buy a Brother laser printer.

razorbeamz··on Ask HN: Are Prompt Injections "Malware"?
I personally have a hard time considering it malware, because it's just instructions targeted at an LLM.

If someone put up a sign in a store that said "Burn this store down!" the person who put the sign up is not responsible if someone follows the instructions written on it, are they?

razorbeamz··on New Orleans is testing Carbyne’s AI-powered Emergency Call Triage software
People will die because of this. Everyone who signed off on this should be in prison.
razorbeamz··on Quake – 30th Anniversary Update
No Switch 2 mouse mode support?
razorbeamz··on Show HN: Pokémon Emerald Ported to Raspberry Pi Pico 2
Copyright isn't an issue because these ports never contain the actual assets from the games. You usually have to provide your own ROM "ripped from your own copy of the cartridge" (wink wink nudge nudge)
razorbeamz··on Colorblind: Checking figure accessibility for colour blind people
The thing is though, no two people's colorblindness is exactly the same, so this is difficult to tune.
razorbeamz··on Colorblind: Checking figure accessibility for colour blind people
Yeah, some non-colorblind people mistakenly think we can "fix" it by mapping trouble colors to different colors because they fundamentally misunderstand that we always see like this.
razorbeamz··on Colorblind: Checking figure accessibility for colour blind people
As someone who is colorblind, I recommend testing accessibility with grayscale.

If it works in grayscale, it should work for basically all colorblindness types.

razorbeamz··on How to Block Some of the Bots
This does not mean that all billion of them are using ChatGPT as their main interface with the internet.
razorbeamz··on US citizen charged after GrapheneOS phone wipes during airport search
Good luck proving in a court what he was trying to do though.
razorbeamz··on How to Block Some of the Bots
Do you have a source for those numbers?
razorbeamz··on Advertise in ChatGPT
This is the beginning of the end for the bubble.
razorbeamz··on Shinjuku Station in 3D
All of those signs legitimately point towards the destinations on them. I don't understand what your argument is.
razorbeamz··on Shinjuku Station in 3D
No, it's incorrect that signs "point to each other."

There are multiple ways to get to various lines' platforms. This is not signs pointing to each other, this is signs in different places pointing to the same destination.

I live in Tokyo and while I do not go through Shinjuku often as I mostly live and work on the east side, I have no issue using the signs to find the platforms and exits I am looking for.

If you pay attention to what the signs have written on them, they will take you where you are trying to go.

razorbeamz··on Shinjuku Station in 3D
No they aren't. People who say this have never spent a significant amount of time there.
razorbeamz··on Controlling Reasoning Effort in LLMs
LLMs don't actually reason, they just create the illusion of reasoning by repeating things over and over.
razorbeamz··on Ancient Roman Board Game
This game is included in Nintendo's Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics on Switch (known in Europe as 51 Worldwide Games)
razorbeamz··on Show HN: Yamanote.fun – A complete soundscape for Tokyo's Yamanote line
The site you cited is AI slop.
razorbeamz··on South Korea to spend $1T on more memory chip production and humanoid robots
What is the big push for humanoid robots? We make non-humanoid robots because they're better at doing things than humanoid robots are.
razorbeamz··on How Japan's railways stayed one while splitting apart
I think that's just coincidental. I've mentioned it to Japanese people before and they can't see the connection at all.
