I spent 5 months rewriting my game Falcross from Obj-C to React Native, and it functions exactly the same (even better in some places because of RN's wonderful Animated API). Try the game and tell me if you "feel the JS": https://www.falcross.com/
As a solo developer, RN allows me to share 95% of code between platforms and still customize that ever so important 5% with native modules. And I'm iterating 2-3x faster than I was with Obj-C.
Hopefully time will prove that it still works well for discovering indie apps.
Problem: People are really bad a choosing the right dating app photos and often end up frustrated thinking there's something wrong with them when they just have awful photos.
Launching in a few days on iOS.
My Parse app's write performance suffered because my biggest table (27m rows, 10 small columns, 15GB) ended up with 17 auto-created indexes, taking up an additional 15GB of space.
Now I'm working on a project with a smaller scope and I'm simply using express.js and knex.js, no ORM. I love the simplicity and level of control I have. It's liberating not to have to guess what the ORM is doing to my data between my code and the DB layer.
