randomanonymous··on Congrat me, I got a job. Should I quit college now?
And the comment from Kstenerud about contact networks is probably the most important thing anyone will ever tell you. Without this, your worthless. Well, unless you are a true renegade in tech. But web designing... come on. You are competing with a zillion other people, aren't prototyping hardware, inventing anything (hardware/software/anything else), so it's more about networking, schooling, etc than anything else!
randomanonymous··on Congrat me, I got a job. Should I quit college now?
Wait, you don't have time for what? I worked full time + (IE overtime, IE 40-50 hour weeks), and went to school fulltime and also picked up 4.0's. The whole I can't work because I have school, or I can't go to school because I have work ordeal is lame at the most extreme levels. Deal with it. If you quit college your a fool. If you can't do both and excel at both your lazy. Get it together.
randomanonymous··on [dead]
Why is this crap being posted on HN?

Lame spammers.

randomanonymous··on Ask HN: is Google search down?
Not for me. Maybe it's a small region in the west coast. Who knows.
randomanonymous··on The Kindle Tablet: Interesting, but Not Really
Wait, so let me get this straight. The author goes into all this huplah in the beginning about "well these people could be right", but, towards the end he says this.... "The Kindle is going to be broken, sluggish, and unusable in the eyes of most tech-savvy users and developers, but I think it’ll sell well once Amazon plasters it across their site and will introduce a lot of people to post-PC devices."

I'm sorry but as an author you are horrid. Not only were you semi on the right track at the beginning, it actually made me read the rest of your article... then you said that. That "know it all, lets be completely hypocritical" type ordeal. How do you know what it will be. You are speculating the same as everyone else.

In other words, you article not only failed, it made you look like a hypocritical author just writing random thoughts down, then doing the same exact thing you were talking about others doing.

People are saying this is a game changer from a price to offerings ordeal. Game changing is more than just what tech it has, it's about price. This could possibly force I pads to come down in price. Is that not a game changer? People are so stuck on this well it can't do this, or that ordeal, when in reality, it's more about lowering the price of things. I guess your just one of those people that has to have a million apps and do whatver on a tablet (they are already worthless for any real computing), so it's more down to reading articles, tinkering here and there, a few games, movies etc. What is there to revolutionize asides from PRICE?

randomanonymous··on Open Letter from human rights lawyer seeking lost documents sent to wikileaks
Why would someone want to post this on a blog,? Unless that have a wish to become a new target for the feds? Seems kind of odd someone posting up a story like this in such a public place.

Something sounds very fishy with all this on top of that.

randomanonymous··on Aaron Swartz Says He Co-Founded Reddit; Reddit Founders Say He Didn’t
Grammar school all over again. These guys actually consider themselves grown men?
randomanonymous··on Intel also hearing rumors Apple testing MacBooks based on own A-series chip
"For Apple, a move away from generally-available, off-the-shelf CPUs and towards its own breed of proprietary designs would not only afford it more control over product release schedules and its intellectual property, but it would also pave the way for the Mac maker to introduce new patent-protected features on its Mac line that rivals would have trouble reproducing for their own designs. "

What does this article author think the Motorola Power PC chips were? They were custom made just for mac. This isn't anything that MAC hasn't done before what so ever. Just the same with the new chips, odds are they won't be MFG'd by MAC, and just by a third party again. Same thing as SUN used to, same thing as MAC used to. (Remember all those "Sun Microsystems" chips made by a million different makers all labeled "Sun Microsystems".

They are just reverting back to their old game, for one reason, and that's to differentiate MAC's from others and lock people into proprietary hardware/software, while at the same token, be able to get rid of people running specific MAC OS's on PC's.

randomanonymous··on Blog Debunks 13-Year-Old Scientist's Solar Power Breakthrough
Holy crap man, is there any need to post up yet another article based upon an article originally posted here on HN?

Come on, no need to literally drill it deep down inside the kids self esteem.

It's not even 2 pages back on HN either. I've said it before, these duped threads are getting pretty lame. How many posts does it take to convey the message already been read,, and heck, still being read. This one is even worse of an article because it's about a blog debunking the ordeal. A blog that was covered on HN like said twice in this comment of mine.

randomanonymous··on Ask HN: Any Solutions to the "Porn Problem"?
A: Get a girlfriend. B: if he is really that hopeless, enable a child filter on his browser, and just lose the password, to make a re-install of the browser mandatory.

Sounds like he just needs some therapy in the end.

randomanonymous··on Solar-panel "trees" really are inferior
You listened to the comments in the last post's comments (the one with only a couple comments).

This is MUCH healthier for a 13 year old, title wise, and article wise.

randomanonymous··on [dead]
Then why discourage the young lad with titles like this. Why not make it less harsh of a title for the blog, why not make less harsh comments.

I swear, adults are so incredibly harsh with very young people who are just trying to improve things, and using their minds, while learning.

I bet the kid reads this site, and all the comments on the stuff.

randomanonymous··on Why does my iPhone game, Thick Lips, suck in United States?
Wack a mole type games have long gone out of style here. At theme parks, mini golf places etc there used to be many hands on versions of them,. Now everyone just want's to shoot stuff. Reason why even in video games, the wack a mole ordeal is pretty much 2 generations out of date.

My suggestion, is make it so you have to shoot the critters etc with a gun (or, less violent, with say a lazer gun/beam). Just my idea though. I'm sure others will chime in. It looks like you have done a pretty good job.

If you want to stick with the wack em game, without shooting etc, you could always make different artwork. Like wack it, Jersey Shore style, or Real Wrold wack it,.

randomanonymous··on New CPU technology lowers voltage to the error point to save 64% on power.
There are multiple pdf's on there, multiple links etc.

The point is, make it easier for people to go directly to something, and not just put up a page with a slew of links, pdf's and coverages of multiple products.

Everyone else on here manages to link to specific info, and not just say here, here is a website, a ton of info on it, and find wherever it is that's linked to now. ' .

randomanonymous··on [dead]
?

If you want to make an advertisement, post a site people can go to, and explain what it's about.

These worthless posts are starting to eat up my time.

randomanonymous··on New CPU technology lowers voltage to the error point to save 64% on power.
Is it that hard to post up a url to an actual page with information, not just to a generic page on a companies website?
randomanonymous··on Facebook Bans Mentioning Other Social Platforms in Apps (#11)
What's so surprising about that? It's common sense that they'd do it.

Apple does the same thing concerning android apps, and Android does the same thing with apple apps. Online games do the same thing with other online sites and so on.

Nothing new, nothing surprising, and nothing wrong it it.

randomanonymous··on After the riots, how security expert got back his MacBook Pro
Exactly. There are actually 2 more links on HN also. Like said, this is the 5th post for the same thing. Come on guys!
randomanonymous··on After the riots, how security expert got back his MacBook Pro
Is it really needed to post the same crappy story 5 times on HN?

He's not a security expert either. Hacking doesn't always mean security expert. Lots of times it means programmer, engineer, etc.

randomanonymous··on Prototypes for Iphone Apps
You mean an Alpha or Beta version? Prototype's generally don't fall into the software specific region.
randomanonymous··on Swiss Guy Who Walked Into Apple Store With An Assault Rifle
What's so weird about it? I walk into stores all the time with 2 pistols open carry on my side. I've also had an open carry assault rifle in some shops. Big whoop. He has no mag in it, and odds are he has no round chambered.

My how people flip out about guns. Wonder why no one has taken a picture of me in a mac store yet...

randomanonymous··on The Motorcycle Gangs
This is a 2005 article. GET BENT. Why is it all these articles 6, 7, 8, and even 10 years old are being posted. Eff off. This isn't news, nor is it even remotely relevant to modern society.
randomanonymous··on Anonymous, LulzSec Dump Data from 70 Sheriffs' Offices
Nice, let's screw rural sheriffs.. The only ones fighting this massive influx of gangs in the rural areas. But then again, 99% of anonymous aren't in rural America so they have absolutely no idea how it actually is out here.
randomanonymous··on Large-scale Amazon EC2 Outage
Why don't people just be redundant and use multiple locations, or have a backup server at your business that can at least somewhat take over? It seems silly all these people rely solely on Ec2 and not have their own hardware anymore.
randomanonymous··on Syrian "Cyber Army" hijacks Anonymous+ website [maybe nsfw]
Put a warning up at least!!!

I was just about to eat lunch! Not no more...,

randomanonymous··on Anonymous hijacks Syria's government pages
Loaded for me fine in less than 2 seconds and I'm on a 150kb/s connection.
randomanonymous··on Anonymous hijacks Syria's government pages
Agent Provocateur....
randomanonymous··on Who is the man living in Fukushima evacuation zone?
Awsome post! You have intrigued me to dig into your story. He is one brave SOB (or one stupid SOB). Either way, holding a martial arts stance in the middle of a highly radioactive area makes me say mind over matter! I hope you got his contact info, would be nice to do a follow up in a few years to see if he is still around!
randomanonymous··on Is It Ever Worth It To Set Yourself On Fire?
Seriously?

"There’s been plenty of times one could take the easy way out. Dying like this is easy. Within 45 seconds he passed out from the pain of burning. Within two or three minutes he was dead from asphyxiation or his organs burning and the skin peeling away from his bones. Big deal."

I'm sorry, but after reading that paragraph I lost all interest in the article, and respect for the author, regardless of the "point" he was trying to make.

randomanonymous··on Ask HN: What is your drink of choice?
