rambrrest··on Why Janet? (2023)
somehow i also never got the idea around these languages like lisp. I remember i studied them in school - but i quickly forgot and never got around to relearning it.
rambrrest··on Show HN: OpenBrief – Local-first video downloader/summarizer
Could be related to ips - i think it works well at my house - but when I am working from a specific cafe, it does not. But yeah seems to be getting more erratic lately.
rambrrest··on Dehydration's role in learning and memory
Not too sure - an overload of water can actually be dangerous i think.
rambrrest··on Molotov cocktail is hurled at home of Sam Altman
This will only get worse imo - regardless of how Sam is perceived - there is anger against AI which is growing amongst the people. I think we as a society need to stop and have the conversation and be more thoughtful about how we integrate AI with everything.
rambrrest··on Instant 1.0, a backend for AI-coded apps
Sounds backward to me - why would you need a backend for AI coded apps - if you create a new backend - you also have to 'teach' the LLM how to use it - how do you imagine doing that ?
rambrrest··on Beyond has dropped “meat” from its name and expanded its high-protein drink line
Somehow I liked the goal of Beyond meat, but could never get past the fact that it is too "processed". My rule of thumb regarding food is that the less the processing, the better. I think I was the ideal demographic - meat eater, who doesnt want to kill animals. Id rather have vegetarian alternatives rather than beyond meat.

I think this is an example of an idea which looks great in the hype phase, but doesnt translate to real world traction.
