I tried submitting a reddit thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/reactjs/comments/474odi/what_about_...), but it didn't get much traction... I think because the videos got pulled. I hope you guys don't mind if I ask this question here, and I apologize if I'm being naive in some way:

There was even a lightning talk on react-native-web which attempts to do this using the traditional DOM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBg2_uQE4KM)

Whatever happened to Flipboard's React Canvas (http://engineering.flipboard.com/2015/02/mobile-web/ and https://github.com/Flipboard/react-canvas) being a solution to these problems? There's pretty good browser availability and although there's currently no perfect solutions for things like accessibility, SEO, or server-side rendering... I failed to se a real "nail in the coffin". Did it just never gather enough momentum?

Interesting, how did you decide on which letters go where on the radial menus and is there any predictive aspect to it?

but seriously, the problem that comes to mind is the crazy complexity requirements that some sites have (must have special chars) but other sites restrict (no special chars). i honestly can't think of a good solution to that though, i always wanted to make a collaborative database of password complexity for various sites

I think you need more emphasis on the prizes, at least proper links to what they are or a description to help sell them. Maybe it should include portion of all the application fees which seem quite substantial considering the costs of the prize and mechanical turk fees.

I'm also not convinced by the explanation that mechanical turk would provide effective feedback to a startup. Even if the scoring system did tell them where to focus, there should be another round of the top 50 or so with actual experts providing much more detailed feedback.

the pricing difference is huge too, AWS's PaaS Elastic Beanstalk took away the "server management" part for the most part but this allows a lot of power when you need it and absolutely no costs when you don't.

I'd like to use Riot's official API (https://developer.riotgames.com/) to scrape a BUNCH of game data, specifically "timeline" data, and see which players do things the best.

I tried it doing it a couple of different ways and in the end the one I did with talking points felt the best to me, it wasn't scripted but it definitely was hard to have a natural one-way conversation (solo founder).

I wish I could've covered everything I wanted to cover naturally but in the end I felt a disconnect between what I wanted to say and what I was able to say. Then again maybe that makes me a worse candidate, but I hope I get a chance to show I'm not in interviews.

You just search "Fuse mobile" and filter out a lot of stuff. I bet it was hard for Cisco people when iOS came out.

This may have been in the works for a while. Internally it could have been called Yosemite for years, and marketing probably didn't see a conflict as Yosemite is a pretty consumer name.
