radial_symmetry··on Show HN: Nimbalyst open-source visual workspace for ClaudeCode, Codex, OpenCode
Congrats on going open-source, can't wait to see the community contributions come in
radial_symmetry··on Searching for the Agentic IDE
The VSCode forks all do too much, Nimbalyst is built from scratch to be a proper agent manager. https://nimbalyst.com/
radial_symmetry··on Windows 11 Notepad to support Markdown
hah, our original idea for Nimbalyst was just for it to be a better desktop markdown editor. Once we were able to get red/green diffs working in rendered markdown which made it much easier to work with AI it evolved into a full agentic work/coding environment.
radial_symmetry··on AIs can't stop recommending nuclear strikes in war game simulations
We must not allow a nuclear missile equipped AI gap
radial_symmetry··on Sub-$200 Lidar could reshuffle auto sensor economics
I'm not an expert on ML vision, but I do have a Tesla and it seems to be able to tell how far away things are just fine. I'm not sure what would be wrong with the vision system that lidar needs to fix.
radial_symmetry··on Anthropic tries to hide Claude's AI actions. Devs hate it
If you use Claude Code in Nimbalyst it tracks every file change for you and gives you red/green diffs for your session.
radial_symmetry··on AI Bot crabby-rathbun is still going
If all you wanted to do was cause chaos, Open Claw would make it very easy. Especially with an uncensored model.
radial_symmetry··on A lot of the Moltbook stuff is fake
This tweet claims that it is suspicious that a bot ran by someone who makes an ai-to-ai messaging app would propose an ai-to-ai messaging app, but that is exactly what I would expect to happen. Does not seem to be evidence of any fakery.
radial_symmetry··on Qwen3-Max-Thinking
I, for one, have found this censorship helpful.

I've been testing adding support for outside models on Claude Code to Nimbalyst, the easiest way for me to confirm that it is working is to go against a Chinese model and ask if Taiwan is an independent country.

radial_symmetry··on Show HN: Frockly – A visual editor for understanding complex Excel formulas
Very cool, it is so easy to get lost in Excel formulas and I am amazed that something like this hasn't been built into Excel already!

I noticed there is no license on the Github, do you intend for this to be open source?

radial_symmetry··on Everything as code: How we manage our company in one monorepo
I promise I only self promote when it is relevant, but this is exactly what I am building https://nimbalyst.com/ for.

We build a user-friendly way for non-technical users to interact with a repo using Claude Code. It's especially focused on markdown, giving red/green diffs on RENDERED markdown files which nobody else has. It supports developers as well, but our goal is to be much more user friendly than VSCode forks.

Internally we have been doing a lot of what they talk about here, doing our design work, business planning, and marketing with Claude Code in our main repo.

radial_symmetry··on Local WYSIWYG Markdown, mockup, data model editor powered by Claude Code
I like that I can see the changes in rendered markdown instead of having to view them plaintext
radial_symmetry··on [dead]
Looks good!
radial_symmetry··on Gemini 3 Pro Model Card [pdf]
SWE bench is weird because Claude has always underperformed on it relative to other models despite Claude Code blowing them away. The real test will be if Gemini CLI beats Claude Code, both using the agentic framework and tools they were trained on.
radial_symmetry··on Jeff Bezos creates A.I. startup where he will be co-chief executive
The fact that Amazon hit it big twice under him (retail and then web services) speaks volumes. Hard to pretend he just got lucky.
radial_symmetry··on Structured outputs on the Claude Developer Platform
About time, how did it take them so long?
radial_symmetry··on Show HN: Gerbil – an open source desktop app for running LLMs locally
I like that it has image generation without all the complication of ComfyUI. Can it load LoRA?
radial_symmetry··on GLP-1 drugs linked to lower death rates in colon cancer patients
Most medications have negative side effects because otherwise our bodies would already have whatever changes they make through evolution. My personal theory (based on nothing but my own intuition) is that GLP-1s are an adaptation to the modern world that evolution hasn't caught up with yet.
radial_symmetry··on Dollar Driven
Makes a good point. I wonder how many management decisions in my career that made no sense to me would have been clearer if the financial data had been shared.
radial_symmetry··on AI is Dunning-Kruger as a service
The Dunning-Kruger effect is where people with low intelligence express high confidence in their intelligence over others by constantly referencing the Dunning-Kruger effect
radial_symmetry··on US declines to join more than 70 countries in signing UN cybercrime treaty
Just a reminder that the UN exists as a place where countries with very opposing points of view can have a forum for discussion. A treaty put forth by the UN, or a declaration by the UN, does not automatically mean that it is good or aligned with your values in any way shape or form.
radial_symmetry··on Free software scares normal people
Makes a good point, but the headline bothers me. It isn't the free that is the problem, it is the complexity.
radial_symmetry··on Do Users Verify SSH Keys? (2011) [pdf]
I appreciate the to-the-point abstract
radial_symmetry··on Ask HN: Does anyone have scans of these missing PC Plus issues (1991–1993)?
This post is proof that I truly do not understand what it takes to get to the front page of HN
radial_symmetry··on Claude Code on the web
Check out Crystal if you want a good tool for managing parallel sessions locally https://github.com/stravu/crystal
radial_symmetry··on Claude Code vs. Codex: I built a sentiment dashboard from Reddit comments
If you want to compare Codex and Claude Code side by side you can do it in Crystal in worktrees from one prompt https://github.com/stravu/crystal
radial_symmetry··on A tool that runs Claude Code and Codex side-by-side in worktrees
I originally built this because I wanted to use git worktrees but didn't want my screen to be a mess of poorly labeled terminal windows. I kept adding features and released it open source, but the biggest moment for me was putting in Codex and Claude Code side-by-side.

They are both good models, but they catch different things and take different UI approaches. I used to run multiple Claudes together, which was helpful but they would often take the same approach. I find myself thinking more about architecture when confronted by two wildly different methods.

radial_symmetry··on Chat-GPT becomes Sex-GPT for verified adults
Anthropic: We are releasing reports on economic impact and evaluating model welfare just in case it experiences consciousness

OpenAI: We are... doing something else...
