It sounds like you think 2 workaholics make a better marriage because they are both "accomplished" and both focused on work, also sounds elitist.
68.1% efficacy against death is huge, and for that period is likely to be mostly delta variant, we can't just forget about Alpha variant which vaccine does amazing with, which the previous data shows.. not sure how this points to them being "government propaganda" campaign. Although I agree it's a bit disappointing they are not painting the full picture.
But people reading that "73% of new deaths were unvaccinated" would cause panic among people that don't understand you need to take into account ~90% of population aged >60 have been double vaccinated for a while now .
Shit will hit the fan but that's how they are directing the course of the ship, early in my career I just have to go with it right now It is not worth it for me to try doing the "easy" things when they aren't valued..
Working like this is too stressful though even if you look like a hero.
Customers can and should complain here, that's like saying don't purchase any software ever? People like smart TVs for good reasons.
Can you admit you are wrong now?
It talks a lot about having a rich enough environment for learning which makes sense, if a computer lives only in a Go board it can only learn go playing itself.
How do you simulate a rich enough environment purely in software (or do you sense input from the "real" environment) and what reward do we define in this complex environment.. It seems to ask those 2 questions in the discussion but kind of glosses over them imo.
1. Tools are shit sometimes
2. fixing bugs no-one else understands (and so you don't receive proper praise - because manager might not even understand what you did)
3. Literally spending weeks on insane hardware issues, that requires sifting through 1000 page documentation.
4. harder work - less pay (depending on company)
The major positive is it's extremely satisfying when you do fix the things..
Screenshots are super important for projects imo to quickly understand how something is actually useful. Should always make the small effort to add an example GIF or image (if applicable to the project).
Whereas Apple can release a new device on new OS with some custom hardware/drivers and as long as the internet + web parts are compatible with those interfaces there is no issue for customers.
Maybe you're right though, but also isn't that what Posix was meant for?
Also for things like Wi-Fi, they define those standards but the underlying vendor implementation is totally custom and can get really ugly still, just like an OS.
