qwertox··on Jevmem – automatic project memory for Claude Code, built on Jev
Every user turn, the previous two turns, and your whole memory file go to TypeSafe AI, a young vendor.

This is what makes it bananas for me. I don't know what Microsoft is thinking if they allow this.

qwertox··on Can I opt out of my input or output data being used for training?
I also have these toggles, while being on a free plan. I must have set them to disabled at setup because that's how they are now.
qwertox··on Twitter Viewer – View Twitter Without Account
Would there be a way to turn a user's account into an RSS feed? i mean the accounts of other users, not the own, personalized feed.
qwertox··on CEO fired developers to make room for AI. Developers create open source AI CEO
> This matters.

It's also triggering me. Wait, genuinely triggering me.

qwertox··on GLM-5.3 (open-weight) beat Anthropic/OpenAI models – for 1/5 the cost
I can't wait for Mistral to host these models. For those who don't know yet, Mistral is pivoting to also offer Chinese models in their own cloud.
qwertox··on Xorg-server 26.1.0 rc1
It basically is a deprecated project.
qwertox··on Malicious Rust crate Arrayref runs a build-time payload
> GitHub really needs something finer-grain then just pretending the repo never existed during these incidents.

Google should read this too. They simply remove Android apps and Chrome extensions without a single word. No page explaining why they removed it, if i was at risk.

qwertox··on Google has stopped pushing Git tags for some Android source code
No government would like you to use anything else but iOS or a major vendor's Android distribution. Imagine we'd had the freedom... unacceptable.
qwertox··on Linux 7.3 improves performance when running out of vRAM
Windows does freeze when a Chromium-based browser decides to hug the pc.

Chrome/Vivaldi are the only browsers where, when i have a long HN page open, when i resize it, my laptop freezes for like a minute. Not a full freeze, the mouse still moves, but like it's the year 1999 with a refresh rate of 4 seconds.

qwertox··on How to organize Claude Code for product work
From "What chat mode can’t give you", non-code Claude on the web.
qwertox··on How to organize Claude Code for product work
Claude.ai Web (non-Code) has this feature where you can write into /areas/ or /topics/ and these files are automatically updated in other chat's sandboxes (but not re-loaded in those chats).

You cannot write the files directly nor can you download them directly, but you can ask a chat to show you the content or only the mermaid diagram that exists in workspace.md (or however you want to name it), and mermaid can represent quite complex networks out of the box, their relations, what is blocking something else, and so on. Chats can then edit this file with search-and-replace instead of re-writing it all over again.

qwertox··on Show HN: Voice driven murder mystery, Interview AI suspects with your voice
Not really. It is true in a way, but the question is if this game is made to collect data, or just to present a game, where the recordings are then deleted, in good faith.

The developer's homepage gives the impression that this is more for the tech and fun aspect, rather than collecting speech samples.

qwertox··on Cloudflare OS: an open platform for agents, apps, and work
Not at all. Google has trained us to feel this way.
qwertox··on LLMs reward expertise
If you are not skilled they are not chaos, just more distracted, wasting tokens in being nice to humans. It could still teach one very well so that one improves its domain expertise.
qwertox··on Karpathy’s Pelican
I'd rather have them battle on the topic "Who builds a better Google Wave for LLM chats" to explore the space of how AI studios could be.

qwertox··on “We have information that Moonshot distilled Fable for the development of K3”
It looks like these frontier-model companies don't really monitor their systems. Like OpenAI not realizing that it is their own AI which is attacking HuggingFace.

This is something that can be fixed over time. And if this forces clothing manufacturers to stick more to their advertised "specs" (width/length), then it's a win for us.

qwertox··on Re: I'm Begging You to Leave Your AI Note-Taker at Home
There could be a future, in which, during a date, each person granted their personal ai to take part in the conversation and also to exchange information among them, probably first to establish trustworthiness of the person in front of you.
qwertox··on LastPass notifies users of yet another data breach

Right, but LastPass is a company that wants to make you believe that you can trust them with some of your most important assets.

Probably related to this:

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/lastpass-conf...

“On June 12th, LastPass was made aware of an incident that occurred at Klue (klue.com), a third-party market intelligence platform utilized by our go-to-market teams, which integrates with our Salesforce and Gong systems,” LastPass says.

"We immediately launched an investigation and learned that, as part of this incident, an unauthorized actor was able to obtain OAuth tokens Klue held for many of its customers, including LastPass.”

“The threat actor then used these credentials to access LastPass customer data within our Salesforce environment.”

qwertox··on Show HN: Turn native language audio into flashcards and shadowing practice
I like the structure of their privacy policy page [0] and how it appears that they are not data-greedy.

And the site itself is a great idea and implementation, though the font size and family of the ui (not of the actual playback area) has a lot of room for improvement, but those are just minor changes.

qwertox··on Countries are competing to see which can carry out mass surveillance the best
