You didn't link your mod?

Also I think fundamentally people on nexus mode assume: the mod is there=it work The majority of people on there are not familiar with software dev concepts, they just seek cool new content for their fav game.

qiine··on Are We Idiocracy Yet?
Krazam is starting to have this effect on me.

I have been trying https://github.com/hat0uma/csvview.nvim

Its rather neat.

Haha! Adequate amount of fun was provided, please resume regular man activities.

haha technologie is moving so fast ;p
qiine··on Why I love NixOS
Pasting the generally horrible error messages is also quite effective!
qiine··on Why I love NixOS
nixos updates tend to be a lot less eventful than others distro, in fact the way it largely prevent system borking when updating, is spiritually freeing.
qiine··on Flash-MoE: Running a 397B Parameter Model on a Laptop
"If you have to wait all night for a response and then possibly discover that it took the wrong direction, misunderstood your intent, or your prompt was missing some key information then you have to start over."

This exact problem exist for rendering, when you realize that after a long render an object was missing in the background and the costly frame is now useless. To counter that you make multiple "draft" renders first to make sure everything is in the frame and your parameters are properly tuned.

qiine··on Flash-MoE: Running a 397B Parameter Model on a Laptop
It seem strange to me that the only way to use an llm is to fit it entirely in volatile memory from the get go.

To render movies we happily wait for the computer to calculate how lights bounce around, for hours even days.

So why not do the same with AIs? Ask big question to big models and get the answer to the universe tomorrow?

qiine··on Emacs and Vim in the Age of AI
"VS Code has Microsoft. Cursor has venture capital."

I would have framed this as a disadvantage ;p

qiine··on How Lego builds a new Lego set
Ah its on nixos as-well, seems nice! my .io model didn't work though.
qiine··on How Lego builds a new Lego set
Stud.io is great for making custom models. wish it got ported to linux...
qiine··on Keep Android Open
The number one problem is locked hardware
qiine··on FreeCAD
That's my opinion but I think that game/cinema/whatever 3D modeling should lean more and more toward CAD like workflow.

If we want to bring those medium to the next level.

qiine··on FreeCAD
You can do sculpting in Blender as well as parametric objects, similarly you can emulate most of substance designer with shaders, maybe just not _quite_ good enough that's the thing.

It feels like we have been so so close to an unified 3D content creation tool kit for many years now!

qiine··on FreeCAD
I kinda wish blender could just do CAD honestly,

It feels like all those 3D modeling apps like 3DSmax,Fusion even Zbrush share like 90% of their feature set but your are forced to literally juggle(for videogame dev at least) because of one or two arguably extremely niche capability.

Such a colossal waste..
