The continuation of StatusNet, which was the codebase behind identi.ca until the owner wrote pump.io in nodejs and migrated to that.
programmernews3··on Why Greet Apple's Swift 2.0 With Open Arms?
I would guess that these companies never had actual "goodwill" towards GPL software and the Free Software community. Instead their motivation was simple profit and they weren't interested in anything that might interfere with that, such as freedom for their users, which GPLv3 enhances (specifically via the anti-Tivoisation provisions).

programmernews3··on Transphobic maintainer should be removed from project – Issue #941
What I see here is a software project using a community-centric development model not willing to do anything about a core dev publicly acting in such a way to act alienating to the community. I don't think he should necessarily be removed from the project, but to act like it's not of concern to the project at all is a bad way to handle it.

programmernews3··on Google: 90% of our engineers use the software you wrote (Homebrew), but...
CS fundamentals like BSTs are definitely not used to teach programming--things like video game projects are--they're used to teach algorithm design and analysis. CS is an academic science, it's not a technology trade.

I perform no micromanagement of third-party websites, it was a one-time setting of my web browser preferences.
programmernews3··on Student actually changes his surname to avoid £220 Ryanair admin fee
I siiiiighed when I read the word false in your comment. All identity is a human invention, there is no such thing as a "true" identity, only many individual ones, such as what the government knows you by, what your family called you at birth etc. There are probably even people without a name in 2015. You're falling for some of the same traps as FB and Ryanair.

Interesting way to interpret my comment. Personally, I am in control of my computer and I find it sad when I found out other people aren't in control of theirs. Sorry if I implied it was your fault.
