Thanks, that’s a hot tip. How long until it’s mandatory though, I’m wondering.

You should probably use Firefox ESR instead, disabling updates just isn’t an option anymore.

Notepad++ is like if Word 98 and IrfanView had a baby, a baby who updates twice a week. No disrespect to any of them, but having a clean interface and killer performance was never their claim to fame.

Nailed it. Adding the fact that the majority of HN comments are negative or at least at odds with the post, HN is a bean soup fallacy/theory/dilemma generation system.

Ignoring my incredulity at this response, the risk to the lives of the drivers seems to me to be of greater importance than the potential that some people might benefit from the carcasses lying on the side of road.

Whoisdangerouslyfarfromthesurfaceofearth.com doesn’t have the same ring.

This person is my hero, the technical prowess, fearlessness and grit to keep at this for six months is inspiring.

I am wondering why Rust in particular made it simpler to use the code or template into another app. That kinda seems like something most languages can achieve.

Agreed and works well on mobile as well.

I like that there are so many haters who don’t get it or don’t think it’s useful and then there are 5 or so very similar projects in various stages of development listed in the comments. It’s giving “what if I don’t like beans?”

That was never the case back when I was rooting phones. Sometimes the phone would reboot immediately after getting root so that you could do something useful like installing recovery, but maybe something has changed.

I feel attacked, but it’s probably the same reason, we both think we know the answer before you finished.

Just my two cents, Xreal is a long way from a good product. There are other brands like Viture to consider which have more support for the limited software solutions out there. Make sure you do some looking into whether they are compatible with your setup. Or if any of the various features will work without buying additional hardware from the manufacturer.

Maybe some of the non-xreal brands or some combinations of hardware provide usable experiences, but all my experiences with xreal have been abysmal.
