You seem to be a privacy expert. PrivacyWall will not break these payment solutions. We'd love your feedback on PrivacyWall. It's free for download at http://www.privacywall.org

We built PrivacyWall to address many of these concerns. PrivacyWall provides host level blocking so it prevents Firefox and Chrome from exfiltrating your data and it's free for download at http://www.privacywall.org for those who don't feel like the existing tools offer sufficient protection.

privacywall··on Google proposes changes to Chromium which would disable uBlock Origin
This was bound to happen. Google has always treated Chromium as their toy and a way to protect their advertising monopoly. That is why we released the new PrivacyWall today which includes the most advanced host level ad blocker built by Stanford engineers. It's free and we will never sell out.
privacywall··on Firefox 57 delays requests to tracking domains
For the sake of Firefox users, I hope you are right. There's been complaints it flips back on after Firefox updates, so your privacy is at the whims of Firefox.

Fun fact: Firefox just pushed out the Looking Glass add-on to users without notice or consent this past weekend.

privacywall··on Firefox 57 delays requests to tracking domains
I built PrivacyWall to block all Firefox telemetry urls. It may make your browsing even faster since it blocks all unwanted data collection that happens in the background at the OS level. That means it is more effective than an extension running on top of Firefox, and Firefox cannot surreptitiously send data without your knowledge anymore. If you are working on sensitive projects and this is something you are worried about, I am making it available for free for non-commercial users at http://www.privacywall.org

I received alot of emails from loyal Firefox users telling me they are worried about their privacy when using Firefox 57 after the Looking Glass debacle, so I decided to make it available for free. If there are tracking domains sites you you think should be blocked due to suspicious behavior, tell me the urls and I will evaluate for inclusion. Please feel free to submit it as a comment to this thread or submit it using the form submission field on the PrivacyWall homepage.

privacywall··on Update: Looking Glass Add-On
I've been following the conversation for the last couple days and I think I may have a solution.

I have been working on a program to block telemetry tracking at the OS level. It's called PrivacyWall, and it was originally meant to stop unwanted data collection by Windows 10. I built this to be a solution to block unwanted data collection by companies that sellout their customers to advertisers instead of putting their users first. It is more powerful than an Adblocker because it operates at the OS system and is able to block tracking by Windows programs and the Windows 10 operating system. I just added support to block Firefox tracking with the telemetry urls that Looking Glass is sending data to.

I haven't been able to work on it for the last 3 months because I was trapped by the hurricane in Puerto Rico without power, internet, water.

It's not ready for prime time, so this is a beta. You can try it here: https://www.privacywall.org

I'm making it available for free for non-commercial use. PrivacyWall blocks a list of known Firefox, Chrome, and Edge telemetry urls and Windows 10 telemetry urls when you turn it on. You can also turn it off easily through the task tray. After you install PrivacyWall, no program on your computer will be able to send data to those urls anymore behind your back.

If you try it out and like it or hate it, please send me your feedback. Let me know if there are more urls I should add to the block list.

I have limited time to continue supporting this project. If anyone is interested in helping out, let me know.
