printvoid··on Show HN: Desktop Devin
Does it always need an API key to work with any models, why can't you provide GPT3.5 which is free or any other models available that work without an API key.
printvoid··on Show HN: Code2prompt – Generate LLM prompts from your codebase
What do you mean my small codebase. I hope not the normal todo repos or basic apps. Can this be run on production codebase like a java application having dozens of microservices inside it.
printvoid··on Show HN: Gemini OpenAI API Proxy. Serverless
What is the advantage because the model is anyways gpt-turbo 3.5 and not 4 which costs money.
printvoid··on [dead]
Can someone help what those statics in general mean and what should be the optimal values for these, I know it can be your Application specific but assuming I have a fairly medium complexity App with 1 Page and 2 tabs making around 10 API calls. What does these numbers tell me about my App performance?
printvoid··on Bear 2 is a terrific notes app – and it only took forever to build
Nothing beats Notion when it comes to note taking but maybe that's my personal opinion. I haven't tried the new version of Bear but the last version was no match to what notion provides.
printvoid··on Spezless – A Reddit clone without u/Spez
You need more than 15000 signups just for building a counter. By that logic you are not going to get reddit with all the functionalities for 1M signups. lol
printvoid··on Has anyone incorporated Bard into their product?
Does BARD even provide you the API for public consumption at this point?
printvoid··on Show HN: Unriddle – Create your own GPT-4 on top of any document
Does it a accept only pdf docs at the moment? What's the maximum size of pdf file that I can provide it to analyze without breaking it.
printvoid··on Ask HN: Will LLMs reduce authenticity of HN commentary?
Pick a thread and post your reply and then let GPT generate another reply on your behalf. The no. of upvotes you would for both these replies will give you a rough answer. But honestly speaking HN should maybe ban content generates via GPT in my opinion.
printvoid··on Show HN: Customizable, embeddable Chat GPT based on your own documents
This is brilliant, but I am not sure if you have rushed it to launch, I am unable to upload any docs, tried to add a URL for scraping the import was successful but then it never appeared in my Library section. Connecting to github gave me issues but then when I did finally connect to github. the import is never successful. I keep on getting 500 service error and then a bunch of console.log messages with `hi` as null and sometimes `hi` having a value of an object. Let me know if you need more info regarding these issues. But this is a great product definitely.
printvoid··on Show HN: GPT Repo Loader – load entire code repos into GPT prompts
Maybe I didn't understand the usage of this but how is this output.txt file that this repo generates to be used and provided as an input to chatgpt. Can someone eloborate this for me?
printvoid··on Ask HN: Have you built anything using NoCode Tools
I think nocode tools are just another way of gloryfying how code is important and an aasett to have. Lots of entrepreneurs who want to build up startups and have lack of finances are being thrown this no code tools things only to lure them but in reality nocode tools won't give you end to end product build if you are not familiar with coding.

printvoid··on Ask HN: Has anyone switched from Chrome to Edge to play with the new AI stuff?
How do you switch. I presume it is rolled out as a beta as I am always told you are on waitlist
printvoid··on Show HN: Apprise v1.0.0 – A lightweight all-in-one notification solution
So let’s say my project has a failed job in the pipeline. Can be anything like install failed or build or unit test or e2e job failed. Can I integrate this with gitlab and receive notifications on slack for that job? Is there a sample example implementation?
printvoid··on Show HN: Layoffbase – the place where you can get a new tech job after layoff
So you collecting candidates details in a google doc. What next?
printvoid··on Tutors / tips to change your English accent
While this thread is mostly about American accents and switching among them. Is there a way to inherit in general the western accent. Anything US related or British accent would do me good. Bonus points for Australian accent.

However I come across from Northern India and have a strong mother tongue influence. Any general tips for me to switch to US or UK accents?

printvoid··on Million – Virtual DOM Framework
If I am already using Preact, can I use Million in conjunction with Preact/React to leverage the efficient usage of compiler provided by Million?
printvoid··on KISS Spirituality – The Ultimate Lifehack
What’s the site about?
printvoid··on Show HN: I made CSS Scan 3.0, a fast way to check and copy CSS
This is a cool tool but I am curious who the intended buyer is you targeting. Is it for developers?

Also interesting question to ask is how does it pull up css that has been generated with like css modules or styled components? Does it only pick up the bare bones css or it can work with dynamic component based css as well a feature of probably more than 90% of the sites that leverage the latest and greatest of Javascript frameworks like react or Vue or svelte.

printvoid··on Ukraine has exposed Russia as a not-so-great power
I think this article is a deeply flawed analysis of the whole situation. This war is not between Ukraine and Russia, rather Russia and the west backed by USA. It's only that Ukraine is unfortunately at the fore front of it. Russia has suffered terribly so far if you look at it from the pov that Russia is fighting just Ukraine but it's more than Ukraine. Russia is also reasonably thinking of long term consequences about their country as a whole and they don't want to use their whole energy just to defeat Ukraine. Their goal or objective of shared destiny with Ukraine is something which west is no able to digest.

Russia has certainly got itself into a dilemma here, win with ease against Ukraine by deploying full scale military operations and get isolated in the international world or do as they call it limited military operations and suffer losses and probably a painful win at the last with military objectives attained and the western arm around Ukraine's neck taken off, which actually is their ultimate goal.
