prichino··on UV B LEDs More Effective in Producing Vitamin D3 in Human Skin (2017)
That's something I've noticed but I think it is the chlorine mostly. Better swim at sea (if possible...)
prichino··on U.S. Accuses Google of Illegally Protecting Monopoly
Of course there's politics involved. Who do you think Google's owners would prefer to win? Just yesterday came out an expose of how Google skews searches of political terms for each party in the US.
prichino··on Trump administration announces overhaul of H1B visa program requiring higher pay
They did right?
prichino··on Japan’s lost generation is still jobless and living with their parents
I love how you are exposing the cognitive dissonance between too many people for the economy/world and immigrants do not depress wages. How can someone hold these two views simultaneously are they not the same, just at a different scale?
prichino··on It was more efficient to blow up a real 747 than to use miniatures or CGI

prichino··on Commerce Department Prohibits WeChat and TikTok Transactions
I mean these are separate issues and should be discussed on their own. The NSA spying is not good but that doesn't mean the US goverment is not allowed to go ahead with banning Tiktok.

Hell, if you can recognize something of the current USA goverment it is the effectiveness of their foreign policy. China is the remaining elephant in the room

prichino··on Commerce Department Prohibits WeChat and TikTok Transactions
Of course, militarily, economically, politically. China is having some of their worst years in decades. The US is doing great, just look around you
prichino··on What Satoshi Did Not Know (2015) [pdf]
This is the rise and fall of civilizations, while expansion is possible in the sense of, the majority of people can "win" at their culture (or have a clear path to), a civilization is successful. In Rome, and America this usually means economic improvement. In Egyptian times, this meant falling in line with the religion. Carroll Quigley has a very nice framework for what is a civilization. Let's just say he was a very influential historian, mentor of one rather recent US president.
