They are clearly all vibe-coded
praet··on ArtCraft Apps – open-source Adobe compatible suite written in Rust
Adobe's moat is so small, so it's a matter of time until someone frustrated with their pricing would rather just rebuild the entire Creative Suite. I have also rebuilt the features from Photoshop I want using Rust recently (primarily because the company I work for started blocking Photopea, but I digress...) and it's been a great to work with. I can imagine the same would hold true for Lightroom, Illustrator, and Indesign.

Overall, looks like a cool project. Looking forward to the *Craft repos on github gaining traction

praet··on Ask HN: Why does React need 1484 dependencies by default?
Create-react-app has a whole bunch of extra stuff, like a testing library, various styling engines, HMR and other build tools that aren't included in your deployed code anyway.

Production React, on the other hand, appears to only have 2 deps: js-tokens and loose-envify

Is there any evidence suggesting MS removed the gist? Last I checked the comments were being spammed after Musk posted about it, and the poster asked on HN how to disable comments on a gist. Seems like ample reason for the poster to remove it themself.

praet··on Ask HN: Robot vacuum but without the privacy invasion?
I used to have a Eufy 30C. Though inferior to a modern Roomba in many ways, it can operate full offline, doesn't have any cameras, is easily serviceable, and kept my house clean for the better half of a decade.

Easily double that even, if don't use cache (4.4mb on a mobile device, while testing just now).
praet··on It's not just Facebook. Thousands of companies are spying on you
Isn't this already known for years? I might be wrong but feel like the whole thing with Cambridge Analytica was more about accurately influencing public opinion than it was about data being leaked.

This is kind of dumbing down the issue, but: anyone not well-versed in implications of privacy violations would feel way stronger when claiming "Mark Zuckerburg is partly responsible for Donald Trump becaming president" versus "Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple and Microsoft have data which will make you more susceptible to spending slightly more money [...on something you don't actually need]"
