Census | Remote, SF HQ | Backend and Product Engineers | Full Time | https://www.getcensus.com/

Census is a platform for syncing your data warehouse with apps your team uses - Salesforce, Zendesk, Marketo, etc. We're used and loved by data engineers and ops folks at many of your favorite companies like Figma and Notion.

We're hiring backend and product engineers to join our small but mighty team. We're backed by some great investors and have 5 YC alums on the team. Our stack is Rails, Typescript, and Vue, but we are happy to talk with engineers with other expertise.

This is explored in detail in "Why Are the Prices So Damn High?" [1]

"Education and healthcare are notable examples of sectors seemingly stricken by constantly rising prices ... At the same time, home appliances and telecommunications have become much cheaper. Why?"

> The health department has exactly zero plans regarding the vaccine

I'm in San Francisco and a family member runs a specialty clinic here. They worked directly with the health department last week to get their staff vaccinated as part of Phase 1a described here: https://sf.gov/covid-19-vaccine-san-francisco

I'm not saying the performance so far is outstanding or good, but it's simply not true that the health department "has exactly zero plans regarding the vaccine".

Have you tried using multi-process tabs? http://www.ghacks.net/2014/02/13/firefoxs-multi-process-arch...

It looks like the prefs to enable it have been shipping beyond the nightly and are in the latest release.

potshot··on Meldium (YC W13) Controls Your Team’s Shared App Passwords For You
We actually have a security FAQ up here: https://www.meldium.com/security. The link is currently buried in our TOS, thanks for pointing out that we need to give it more exposure! We're definitely open to feedback as to what's not adequately covered.
potshot··on Meldium (YC W13) Controls Your Team’s Shared App Passwords For You
We log in on our end and push the session to your browser, so your browser (or that of whomever you shared the app with) never sees the password.
potshot··on Be careful with your random tokens
Great point. Our blog is on Squarespace and we didn't see a way to make it happen - we're checking w/ them to see if we're doing something wrong.
potshot··on FBI, stumped by pimp's Android pattern lock, serves warrant on Google
IANAL, but I'm assuming Google doesn't have to hand over anything that's not explicitly listed in the warrant. If you're the FBI, you might as well ask for the world and see what you get back.
potshot··on Ask HN: Number of iPhone apps you published & income you get from them
(a) 1 (Puppy Pals), (b) free, (c) excluding a tweet or two, this is the first public mention of it (d) $10 over 2.5 months from ads
potshot··on Ask HN: review my webapp, tunemiser.com
Thanks for the positive feedback! I agree with you... I think the top of the homepage, unfortunately, is the most hideous part of the site.

>> "Have a background with a darker border behind the iTunes price" It's hard to tell, but the orange-ish background highlights the cheaper price for a song or album if there's a price difference between the two stores. This used to be clearer when Amazon wasn't always the cheapest, but now it appears as though I'm highlighting the Amazon price all the time. I'll play w/ some way to clear that up.
