postatic··on Sites in ChatGPT
I was imagining the other day what other "apps" that frontier labs can get into. If we had "Claude Mail" or "ChatGPT for Workspaces" it would be very interesting. Email service created by Claude, then docs (they have it already?) then all the business apps layer (heck integrate your vibe coded apps onto these! build your own slack, CRM)

If models are commoditized and apps is where the grab is - I actually wouldn't mind a new email provider - GMail has not practically changed in the last 10 years I feel.

postatic··on Show HN: Panda, the world's first personal AI computer
Shipping Dec 2027... I don't know about you, but at the rate of current pace, I don't know what to expect at the end of 2027.
postatic··on Muse – Meta’s personal AI agent
The initial reaction is "why on earth would I give Facebook MORE of my data, no way" but as some commenters said, this would be a great tool to use to see if it can automate some of the tools that I have not been able to automate (e.g. Facebook most of all!)
postatic··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
Oh the verbosity and the cryptic words that it uses. The other day, all of a sudden it used an acronym "DoD". I had no idea what it was and made me feel dumb. It's "Definition of Done". I don't care how widely used this acronym is, you just can't throw it in there.

I've now installed quite a number of tools to combat this. Just in the last few days I've installed

- https://www.codewithbullet.com - https://maki.sh - https://github.com/rtk-ai/rtk

Has it helped? Somewhat.

postatic··on GLM-5.3: Frontier coding with emergent cyber capabilities
Look, GLM, Kimi, Deepseek and Qwen should just join forces and come up with THE model that will beat the frontier lab models even just for the benchmaxxing perspective - all just to create hype and chaos to derail the trillion IPO conversations surrounding OpenAI and Anthropic.

Been pushing through SideProjectors - https://www.sideprojectors.com - if your projects don't work out, feel free to submit it for sale :)
postatic··on Bring back crappy forums
absolutely love forums! It's also a kind of a rite of passage for devs to create a forum if you are learning new language (back in the days) - an advanced version of "Create your first blog" type of thing?

A while back ago, I created HN Plus (hn[.]plus) (for some reason it gets blocked) - anyway, wanted to give people a way to create their own HN clone - still being used today and it was a very interesting exercise to replicate all the niche features of HN.

postatic··on Half-Life 2 in a Browser
Cool!

I recently ported Doom on browser so that you can easily play multi-player (up to 4) completely free (you can host it yourself on Cloudflare)

postatic··on GLM 5.2 vs. Opus
I've signed up with Ollama to experiment with these open source models. For the past 3 months, it's just been experimenting, trying it out. GLM is the first model that I am using on a daily basis to do my coding work (as well as using Claude). It's good - I've been maxing out my Ollama usage limits everyday :)
postatic··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (May 2026)
Built my own backend for excalidraw frontend :)

postatic··on DeepClaude – Claude Code agent loop with DeepSeek V4 Pro
definitely worth it - have both ollama cloud, opencode and hermes running to test them all out, working great so far.
postatic··on Ubuntu back up, In Saturday after DDoS attacks
launchpad still seems to be unreachable.
postatic··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (April 2026)
DrawX is Excalidraw with backend.

I love Excalidraw but I don't need Excalidraw+ I just need the backend where I can save and be able to create multiple canvases.

So that's what I built!

postatic··on I use Excalidraw to manage my diagrams for my blog
I love excalidraw, but don't need the excalidraw+. But Excalidraw open source is the frontend only, which means I have to delete my drawings each time. So I built the backend so I can create many canvases.

postatic··on DrawX: Excalidraw with Back End
Love Excalidraw. Didn't need Excalidraw+. Just needed a way to have multiple canvases. So built one. You can use it too.

Working on...

- Tablex (https://www.tablex.pro) - seat arrangement app for weddings, seminars, conferences.

- Kardy (https://www.kardy.app) - group card app I've always wanted to build.

- Jello (https://www.jello.app) - Create games with your own photos and sound effects!

postatic··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (February 2026)
Working on a few

- Kardy - send group cards - https://www.kardy.app

- Jello - Create & customize popular games - https://www.jello.app

postatic··on Show HN: The HN Arcade
Great! I'll add the games I've recently created on Jello - https://www.jello.app

ok I don't care what people say, this would've helped me a lot during my PhD days fighting with LateX and diagrams. :)

postatic··on Ask HN: Those making $500/month on side projects in 2025 – Show and tell
I run SideProjectors - https://www.sideprojectors.com - a marketplace where people can buy/sell their side projects and businesses. I've been running it for over 14 years now.
postatic··on Ask HN: Is it time to fork HN into AI/LLM and "Everything else/other?"
You can easily clone HN using other forum tools (discourse, discord, HN+) and start your own? Or HN provides APIs that are quite powerful.
postatic··on Ruby Video – On a mission to index all Ruby conferences
This looks awesome and the site looks like it’s custom built. For anyone looking for a tool I’ve been using Pyro (https://www.pyro.app) to collect startup pitch videos (https://video.heystartup.com)
postatic··on Comparing AWS S3 with Cloudflare R2: Price, Performance and User Experience
I do mostly CRUD apps with Laravel and Vue. Nothing too complicated. Allows users to post stuff with images and files. I’ve moved ALL of my files from S3 to R2 in the past 2 years. It’s been slow as any migrations are but painless.

But most importantly for an indie dev like me the cost became $0.

postatic··on Susan Wojcicki has died
We argue about agile processes, front end frameworks, languages, microservices, revenues, fundings, options, shares, hustles and all and at the end of the day we return back to the earth.
postatic··on Sharing details on a recent incident impacting one of our customers
Uni super customer here in Aus. Didn’t know what it was but kept receiving emails every day when they were trying to resolve this. Only found out from news on what’s actually happened. Feels like they downplayed the whole thing as “system downtime”. Imagine something actually happened to people’s money and billions of dollars that were saved as their superannuation fund.
postatic··on Deep Bug
I had a bug in my code during my research degree. I was able to get some results and write it up as a thesis, submit it and get my degree.

That was almost 15 years ago. But to this day, every now and then I feel a little guilty about getting that degree because I haven’t truly solved that bug.

postatic··on Ask HN: What things are happening in ML that we can't hear over the din of LLMs?
I launched https://app.scholars.io to get latest research from arxiv on specific topics I’m interested in so I can filter out ones that I’m not interested. Hopefully it will help someone find research activities other than LLM.
