many people witness a lot of "important" real life things through the screen/lens of their phone.. for those situations, you're covered - and it's pointing where you look, so you don't have to look at it to know it's recording what you see.. (ish)

most of the time though, you're going to be picking your or a friend's lock, and in those cases it's much more desirable to preserve the wall/door/hinges..

anyone curious what similar apps were available for android, http://www.augmentedev.com/home.php seems quite nice - i'm not entirely convinced by the process, it could use some streamlining.. but it is reasonably easy to upload your own 3d model and use a qr code to view/share and the result is pretty good.

I assume this mojang app uses markers too?
