Sorry on bad english, 4 beers + not primary language :-)
Debian guys should really do something like OpenBSD package flavors. Sometimes you just don't need X,Y or Z support and it's pain to do this kind of stuff with Debian. I'm not sure if that is even possible in such rigid package managemenet system. Other thing would be to allow files/libs as dependencies. Those two things would give people more freedom and flexibility, but they are from start trying really hard to be anal with packages (even given the fact that .deb system is , at the same time, best and worst thing about Debian). So, guess, just forget about it.
2. You can, mostly, work on ideas you think are worth doing. This is really awesome because worth is subjective term and only way to see you were right is to do it (your own way). "Talk is cheap, show me the code".
3. With right license you can take others code to fill parts of your project (either temporary or permanent). Helps in time consumption and agility. Ofc, you can always rewrite whenever and whatever you want. Some people think that reinwentihg the wheel is bad, but it all depends on situation. Sometimes it's even better then using bad code.
4. If you share code, someone will eventually modify it, so you can choose to integrate changes back (if worth merging). Only problem here is situation when people are using non-compatible licenses.
5. More hacker's culture in FLOSS in general.
Here is what they think:
"This is truly an ironic situation. We have been fighting for a free world, and our opponents are mostly huge corporations from the United States of America, a place where freedom and freedom of speech is said to be held high. At the same time, companies from that country is chasing a competitor from other countries, bribing police and lawmakers, threatening political parties and physically hunting people from our crew. And to our help comes a government famous in our part of the world for locking people up for their thoughts and forbidding access to information."
Is this false?

Please read carefully, this is gold mine for all interested in work of US/UK puppet masters. Also it has nothing to do with communism and other ideologies, it has to do with destabilize EU over decades and even now.
Search for libfcgi. It's nice and simple C library that can be used behind nginx and as the matter of fact anything that supports fcgi. In this case routes are defined on nginx. But just think a bit, it's nice little framework ;-)
Btw used exactly that few months ago.
The thing about C is that programmer should do check size before calling function with double arr[n]. Isn't that point of C? On the other hand, user can make fast stack allocation which, depending on situation, can be good. Stack is insecure by default, OS should put it really far from other parts. In embedded systems, well there you must always think about these kind of things.
Btw, how are (p)thread stacks implemented? Every thread has it's own stack, that's ein interesting situation.
Thanks.
