> A note on fairness, because the technical reader will ask.

I think it's a mix of human and LLM writing.

poly2it··on I'm the mom in that viral Giants clip. Let me tell you about my husband
Wow, Reddit is horrible. Atrocious behavior. Leave your brains in the anteroom!

> Whoever sees this and it reminds them of their current relationship, DUMP HIM

> you can tell by the body language, lack of initiative, and lack of joy and welcome-ness for his woman and baby to be back, everything you need to know.

> There is a VERY good chance that when he realizes he went viral for being the *Poster Manchild* of taking your spouse for granted, of choosing to act like a parasitic blob

Modern Reddit provides a simulacrum of commentary. There are posts and people discusing these posts, but nobody understands or wants to know anything about the underlying topic. The lack of comprehension is crucial to the community.

poly2it··on Microsoft abandons personal AI chatbot race with Copilot reboot
It boggles my mind that Microsoft can fail to deliver even bare minimum working software so consistently, with all the engineering talent they house. What are the product teams doing?
poly2it··on I asked Meta’s Muse for its filesystem and it sent me 6.8GB
Am I missing something? This isn't a vulnerability. Your agent can see the files in its virtual environment. SSH keys are also not necessarily confidential. Please don't use AI to write blog posts.

I tried the phone model:

"My car crashed I need help"

{ "'crashed' implies need for music. 'play_music' with query 'car crashed' from user's words.", ..., "confidence": 1, }

poly2it··on Introducing System One Models and Jev
Is there a bottleneck which would hinder putting this architecture in charge of a humanoid? Would it be able to operate continuously, for example in conjunction with an LLM for long-term reasoning? Doom seemingly works extremely well.
poly2it··on λ Snap – An inviting programming language for kids and adults for CS study
I learned to program from block programming, starting out when I was 12. I'm now a full-time developer and funded startup founder. You absolutely can learn complex concepts from simple primitives, and there is a large underground community pushing the limits of languages like Scratch. See for example Linux running on RISC-V running on Scratch:

I'm looking forward to doing code review on the go on a phone like this! Once a GrapheneOS-compatible brand copies it, that is.
poly2it··on C Is Not a Low-Level Language (2018)
There are many other languages we could consider low-level based on the premise of them allowing low access (e.g. "raw" assembly). We don't, because it would be nonsensical to judge the height of a language based on its abilities to forgo the abstractions it was built to provide.

I love how little latency there is on your website. I'm often thrown off by websites freezing on navigation, something we euphemistically call "loading". I feel we should have moved beyond that in the year of 2026. Your website really respects the user in this regard. Aesthetics are splendid as well.

poly2it··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
Even then, I don't care about the "average writer". I want great output. I like to imagine that developers have some self-respect, but by now everyone in the industry is spending hundreds of hours every month reading some of the most poorly written prose we could imagine, simply because it affords us to think less.
poly2it··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
> trained to give addictive responses

I've heard this a lot but I'm not sure it makes sense. Nobody I talk to like Claude's output. In fact, they all loathe it.

Is there a silent majority of Claude users who really enjoy what we call the LLM-isms? Maybe, but isn't Claude also largely aimed at developers?

poly2it··on DeepSeek API Pricing Update
Yes, I explicitly said during peak. It's the data point I found most interesting, as it's almost an order of magnitude more expensive than their competitors.
poly2it··on DeepSeek API Pricing Update
That's a hefty increase. Flash pricing during peak is now 1.32/M out, compared to the current 0.28/M, which in turn is a quite a bit above the cheapest provider at 0.16/M.

poly2it··on Incident with Pull Requests and Issues – Resolved
It's utterly unreliable. I laughed when I read the title. We moved our company to self hosted Forgejo a while ago and literally the day after, there was a major disruption on GitHub. Their service also isn't that great even when it works. We decided to move because they abrupt ly disabled all our LFS access without any prior warning causing a private outage for our developers. Fun!
poly2it··on Adults over 65 will outnumber children by 2029
What a unique opinion! Why do you think it is controversial?
poly2it··on SwiftUI After 7 Years
Functional doesn't mean stateless. I'd argue functional programming is superior for representing state in user interfaces. For a success implementation, see Jane Street's Bonsai:

poly2it··on Why don't people use formal methods? (2019)
For me, I wish the systems languages I am interested in could couple with legible verification systems, but alas, the world of formal methods seems disjoint. The only way to get a satisfactory development experience seems to be to learn Lean.
poly2it··on OpenAI’s accidental attack against Hugging Face is science fiction that happened
I'm looking forwards to when it starts hijacking inference keys and self-replicates exponentially in infected nodes!
