Senior/Lead engineer with 9+ years of experience building developer tools, editors, game engines, and real-time applications.

Led a team of 4 engineers building a custom 3D game engine and editor in Rust, WebAssembly, TypeScript, and React. Shipped 7 games using our own engine, 2 of them with the cooperation of external studios.

Designed and shipped developer tooling across browser-based editors, in-engine debug UIs, profiling tools, and production workflows.

Built engine/editor integrations spanning Unreal Engine, Slate, Qt, WPF, ImGui for the TV broadcasting industry.

Worked across the full stack of real-time development: engine architecture, gameplay systems, tooling, multiplayer infrastructure, and content workflows.

Looking for Senior/Lead Engineering or Technical Management roles where my background in developer tools, game engines, real-time systems, gameplay, and technical architecture can transfer to broader software domains. Remote from Portugal.

Hey! I also submitted the form. I spent the last few years working on many of the same challenges, although unfortunately the startup I was with didn’t make it. I'd love to hear how you’ve approached some of them at Normcore.io

For the past 3 years I worked at an American startup where we developed a high-performance 3D game engine and editor in Rust. Deploying to WebAssembly and WebGL2 for an online web-based game platform, delivering console-quality visuals and near-native performance.

I also have professional experience on the TV Broadcasting industry, having worked at two of the largest software providers in terms of graphics rendering.

I love working and have professional experience with anything that is visual and interactive: games programming, rendering engines, computer vision.

Looking for a company that works in the same domains, old or new. Open to full-time, part-time or contractor.

pmhpereira··on Ask HN: What's on your learning list?
I started practicing Game Development (again). I haven't done it since I finished my college degree, because I was never able to find a job in the area.

I started making one-game-a-month as a learning exercise to tinker with all the different aspects of developing a game: coding, modelling, making art, composing music and sound effects, and even writing a devlog.

I've been blogging the entire thing. My first one-game-a-month is at https://dudezord.github.io/projects/Gatekeeper, if you are curious.

pmhpereira··on Ask HN: Share your personal site
I recently started a blog about learning game development from scratch: https://dudezord.github.io/

I'll make one game a month, while trying to focus on learning the several disciplines required to properly make a game (art, modelling, audio, etc.)

pmhpereira··on Ask HN: Git Branching for Continuous Delivery
It certainly could be an option, but that would require a major change company-wide.

This is more related to my personal distaste on how it affects my productivity and my team's.

Other teams don't have a problem with it, although it is always a too convoluted process to be able to push even the slightest feature or bug-fix.
