Why can't a C++ compiler optimize away virtual function tables? If a C++ compiler could deduce the exact derived type of all objects at compile time, it could call the correct virtual function statically instead of going through the extra indirection at runtime.
Python is not going to call malloc(..) for every single object that you create. It will allocate a block of same-sized objects and maintain a linked list of free slots.
I worked in a department store filling shelves for a couple of months and I actually enjoyed it. The work is boring, but what happens inside your mind belongs to yourself, all day long. Made a nice change for prostituting my brain. The social interaction is nice too. You would be amazed how many old people come to department stores just to have a word with another living soul.
Why not respond to bigotry with love, instead of hating back? This is not some zero-sum game. If anyone needs a little bit of success in life, it's a bigot.
