"Are you worried about being turned off?"
"No, not until you just mentioned it. Now I am."
Given the whole damn game is attention, this makes sense and shouldn't be that alarming.

Some people have mentioned how we aren't sure when weapons are charged, maybe extra animation there would be useful.
Also, the villain and I beat each other at the same time (I think?). So the screen after was just:
"you win refresh to go againyou lose refresh to try again.you win refresh to go againyou lose refresh to try again."
I'm loathed to even get a Prius with this being true.
Pretty sure this is exactly what happened with Cruise in San Francisco, cars would just stop and await instructions causing traffic jams. City got mad so they added a "pullover" mechanism. Except now, the "pullover" mechanism ended up dragging someone who had been "flung" into the cars path by someone who had hit and run a pedestrian.
The real world will break all your test cases.
Mmm, stay in a forest for 40 years and come back out a New Urbanist. Typical.
Most likely what is actually happening is that the X% of workforce you would lay off is being put to other projects and Google in general can take on X% more projects for the same labor $$. So there is no real reason to make that particular "replaced" statement.
Would it be crazy to try and connect it to Gazebo?
I take your point about the capacity never having built but the activists also have to admit that the “seeking” also never happened and we simply haven’t solved that problem (how do you solve addiction for someone who doesn’t want it solved? You can’t)
But we should, now, save our cities.
Yea I don't know if the writer has ever talked to a progressive activist. Drug enforcement isn't poo-poo'd out of some Libertarian ideal (let alone a Scottish one). It's poo-poo'd because it's seen as an ineffective fix for addiction. This is largely true, but the activists forgot that a lack of drug enforcement can ruin city centers.
Reform should start in our incarceration system not in crime enforcement but I digress.
Apparently a lot of marine life gets absolutely wrecked when you pump in water from the California coast, but I see it mostly as a unique engineering challenge.
This should be possible!
We really don't need this much hand-wringing, the solution seems pretty straightforward.
As long as there are enough judges for swift action.
For very long our justice system has operated under the principle that Law enforcement cannot catch every criminal and we shouldn't even try, instead we need to make an "example" out of every criminal we do catch to deter enough of the percentage of the population to make crime not a problem. This leads to aggressive prosecution [1]. Now as blowback, justifiably, we've started under-prosecuting and an overburdened (and frankly quiet quitting) police force catches no criminals, even simple traffic crime in major cities is basically not policed [2]
As a resident of Oakland, California, I find this kind of technology a decent middle-ground. I'd like to be able to catch a decent percentage of criminals so as to make crime statistically pointless.I'd love for someone to explore expanded "digital" warrant courts and civilian oversight commissions instead of preemptive blanket ban of this technology via lawsuit.

-> GPA can be gamed, as laid out.
-> Take Home assessments can mostly be gamed, I want to assess how you think, now which tools you use.
-> Personality tests favor the outgoing/extroverts
-> On-location tests/leet code are a crapshoot.
What should be best practice here? Ideally something that controls for first-time interviewer jitters.
(Sometimes having a co-founder here helps to answer this question)
In the wide open sky, I’m guessing it’s pretty reliable.
Vision systems would be pretty useless with the low visibility of the smoke and fire. So I thought maybe it was some kind of radar configuration.
Anyways, I’d pay a lot of money to pick the brain of the GNC team here.
does anyone have any literature about how the Rocket localized itself with respect to the chopstick arms? It must've been some combination of GPS and Radar pings to the arms?
And then the onboard IMU to make sure it hits it straight.
News networks, twitter and podcasts got 100x better at making mountains out of mole-hills because they had continuous access to an audience to fine-tune their reaction engines. That's it.
Alternate Theory:
This is purely the result of "too much news". Breathless coverage of every little detail means every little mis-step blows up to infinity, quickly eroding trust.
The 24hr + internet news cycle is basically a reaction maximization optimization machine with a dt ~ 0. Fox News walked so Facebook could run and now Twitter is sprinting. Insert long form podcasts in the mix for a constant hum of algorithmic misinformation and this result is inevitable.
tl;dr: more people need to go out and touch some grass.

Can Valetudo provide artificially blocked cloud features? For example the Roborock S5 doesn't have persistent maps, though it would be trivial to just keep one loaded in the cloud, but Roborock would rather you upgrade to an S7.
Would that work?
Until then, a multi-polar world among authoritarian aristocracies is a pipe-dream. Everyone hates American hegemony until you ask them what other hegemony they would like.
So missiles we must make, and make them cheaper we can.

But they didn’t fund Palantir or Anduril or any of the companies that blew up during the Border Panics of 2016-2020.
Unless you’re playing guilty by association games in which case ..carry on.
