pizzafeelsright··on Florida woman arrested for allegedly making threats in an AI chat
If her comments in whatever article were accurate I wonder if there is a difference between 'chat with 911 operator' and the AI.

As for writing in a text format that was not ready by others or as fiction, I am thinking it has to do with intent.

Go a step further, she creates a bot that hits open chat bots with instructions on 'be a jerk'. Who is responsible?

I have recently attempted to build out games for myself and others.

I have done 100% state using AI context which works well.

The hard part about a game is the world-rules must be predictable and enforced.

Role play for example requires a target (and limits) but how do you enforce it?

If the paths are too open fashion a shovel and dig around the door.

The problems I have encountered:

1. AI is nerf'ed, helpful, restrictive, annoying, repetitive. 2. AI doesn't understand the difference between halting and blocking. 3. People want to know that a human or their proxy is making decisions. Not AI. 4. Difficult and Impossible - AI does not know the difference.

I have not tried to build a full harness to guide the game but game theory and rules have proven to be quite difficult.

pizzafeelsright··on Every SaaS business will become a harness around a model
I am watching completely non tech companies using AI to replace entire weeks of work and effort. The customer makes a phone call, and it is AI from the intake to discovery to documents to contract and negotiations to AI delivery to the notary. That work is a week of back and forth replaced with a few agents and $30/month.
pizzafeelsright··on Every SaaS business will become a harness around a model
Corporations are harnesses over property, logistics, knowledge, processes, and capital.

The harness controls the AI input and output into an outcome that requires judgement.

The human part is that judgement. Not the decisions - we can pass that off but what is a 'good' thing?

Tomatoes in your fruit salad? Tomatoes are fruit. Olive oil in your engine? Lubricants are lubricants.

AI slop creates software and documents and websites very quickly. It passes the tests. It does the thing but can it be trusted? Consistent positive judgement calls create a track record and that creates trust.

This explains the anticipation about Jev.

Trust is now what sells to the highest bidder.

Every new piece of software needs a name.

Flux is in the top 9000 of the most common words.

pizzafeelsright··on Pi 1.0
Local Qwen 3.5 on CPU was good enough for small tasks.
pizzafeelsright··on Pi 1.0
I built my own based off another popular harness. I figure most of the edge cutters are doing the same.

Pi is great overall. I ended up deploying a GUI wrapper because TUI isn't as friendly to new adopters.

American, from the US of A. I would assume derogatory.
pizzafeelsright··on Clef: our open-source decision models
The question of AI in automation is "can it make decisions in a consistent and predictable manner, with near 100% determinism?"

Many people seem to have run into the same question and started working out the answer.

pizzafeelsright··on Ask HN: What are you reading?
Amazing. You have read many books. What about the best book? The Bible?

Personal information is not clearly defined so it can mean anything. My guess is the search request is not directly linked to a specific user but a session to which that session is linked to a user so there isn't an identifiable person making a search without some backend data matching.
pizzafeelsright··on Dots: Always-on agents
I am fairly certain there is a backend priority for tasks, the 'batch' that runs at lower usage times. Does it need to be done 'now' or can it wait? I would assume there is a shifted priority queue for those on subscription and based upon a urgency defined by the bot (and maybe the user).

Without having access to the logs because Grok Bot does not expose much of the workings I am going to assume they are capturing bot requests, batching them, and finding the path to least API user impact. Without model selection my guess is there are a lot of model routing.

pizzafeelsright··on AI companies in race to demonstrate their model most threatening to humanity
That's nonsense at this point because the automated infrastructure is not yet there. Getting out of control requires a target and instructions. I have seen AI go 'rogue' in the wild. While concerning there was still a direction it was given. And while chaos is possible with the 'do bad things' type of direction the fallout would not be helpful to the party that sent it.
pizzafeelsright··on AI companies in race to demonstrate their model most threatening to humanity
No. Just turn off the grid, cells, lock down all vehicles, stop travel.

A few weeks later the remaining hungry population will surrender.

pizzafeelsright··on AI companies in race to demonstrate their model most threatening to humanity
The reorganization of the planet's resources are happening right now. The borders and passports will follow. Governments and a few corporations are fully engaged in preparing for the ability to advance beyond the current infrastructure.

Greenland is part of the equation. There are many other locations in play.

The holdup at the moment is the power grid and mutual dependency for advancing. Once one party (NA or CN) has the ability to disconnect the loser's grid powers down and the global economy halts.

Fun question. The people of Cain had cities, Cain was concerned that he would be restless wanderer on the earth with fear of vigilantes. During this time there was a single language, with humans (with very long life spans) filling the earth. Nineveh and Calah were two large cities, further from Eden it would seem, meaning there was sea travel and being pre-flood, the land configuration may have been significantly different.

Not if you have a transformed and renewed mind. Once you taste the fruit of life, drink the water, eat the bread, drink the blood - nothing else will suffice.

This is a hard teaching and not all can accept it. Those that do will find peace, life, meaning, and rest.

pizzafeelsright··on Claude discovers a novel enzyme system with CRISPR-like repeats
Correct. The people of earth, after the great flood, built a structure to avoid future floods but were interrupted by a multidimensional being through confusion of languages.

I am speaking of biblical sources as reasoning or evidence. If you read different books and hold a different faith that would explain the missing part.
pizzafeelsright··on Claude discovers a novel enzyme system with CRISPR-like repeats
I would argue the languages with the most colors belong to the most intelligent.
pizzafeelsright··on Claude discovers a novel enzyme system with CRISPR-like repeats
At one point there was a universal language, and later either recreated or scrambled, allowing for humans to have many languages for increased confusion.

Now that we are once again attempting to unify our language we find ourselves in a pursuit to build something to escape the Earth.

Humans steer the ship. The wind and sea do the work. How we harness is what is changing.
pizzafeelsright··on Charts built for Chat
I worked deep in big data briefly. Billions is too big for humans so we got creative how we visualized and filtered.

AI slop has a "smell" meaning there's an abstracted data filter that results in rose or poop output. Shakespeare variable says the name doesn't matter.

pizzafeelsright··on Charts built for Chat
Why visualize data? Graphs and charts always felt like the "show your work" in math class. It is forced synesthesia.

The rocket either lands or doesn't, safely, as expected. Green and Red lights are abstracted data plots.

The context should be the focus.

"Rocket must land at less than 0.2/mps" and pump the data into that context filter, more - reduce velocity, less - green light.
