This is so cool

This is v0.5, where we decided to launch early in order to seed the database. In v1.0 we'll have a map and some other features that will make it easier for people to find and hire software teams in your area.

You've got to market your product if you want people to know about it. Assuming you're a hacker/maker, just building a product and hoping people will magically find it isn't a real strategy.

Tnx for the feedback! There are a bunch of newsletters in the log, still needed to be added. Going through them manually and checking/verifying as much as I can. So every week, more stuff will be added and the search will improve.

Currently, I'm monetising the tools & services section, there's the option for paid listing there. But there are a few ideas I'm playing around with. For now, I'm just trying to fill the database with as much newsletters as I possibly can.

You can search/filter by certain keywords, but I have those filtering options (price, subscribers) on my to-do list. Hopefully it'll be ready later this week.

Right now, it'll be a lot of manual effort, but you can imagine the data we'll be collecting along the way and eventually being able to rank newsletters and data based on a number of stuff. Including the experience of ad-buyers. With a variety of datapoints + an algorithm to make sense of it, we could eventually (hopefully) rank newsletters based on effectiveness. But I'm no were near that point, so first things first.

Looks great. There are actually a bunch of developer focussed newsletters in our database. So yes. Great idea on the parameters. Noted and will find a way to have it in the product.

Getting data (Open rate, CTR etc.) from a recent email campaign, should already give a good indication of the level of engagement each newsletter has.

The searchable database is the real product, but to protect myself from procrastinating on this I forced myself to launch quickly. Hence the v0.5 solution.

Maker here. Side note: Took all the feedback from HN on my previous demo. Still working hard on a searchable database with a ton of curated newsletters. My goal is to make it easier for fellow creators to share their startup & side projects with thousands of potential customers. And to have newsletter owners monetise their emails. Creating a win-win situation for both sides.

done & done. I'm also letting go of the Dev only niche since I've been getting a bunch of feedback from other niches.

quick 2 Q's: What industry is your list for. & what price would be low enough to not need a 'free' trial?

I'm planning on expanding for sure. I couldn't find anything like this, that's really why I built it. So I didn't have to google them every time I was looking for one.
