When Antigravity first came out, when I installed it, it made itself the default application to open all programming file types.... .txt. json, csv, you name it. It was absolutely infuriating and took me a month to put everything back to normal. So they've lost a lot of trust with me.
I'm not trying to be rude or unappreciative, but it's kinda crazy to me that the website itself doesn't contain the demo of the thing? I see sample code to implement it on my own site, but the site itself doesn't seem to have any highlighting or I highlighted some text and didn't see anything unusual? Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm missing something here? I'd like to see an example of what a thing does before straight up installing the code on my website.
I have a bit of a contrarian thought here, but I tried Herdr and I didn't like it. To me, it kind of proved the opposite point it intended, in that agent orchestration actually belongs at the terminal level. I'd like to see for example a fork of Ghostty become the agent orchestration control room.
Rowboat markets itself as "local-first," but if you look in the actual codebase, transcription is Deepgram cloud, voice is ElevenLabs, analytics is PostHog, and the LLM is a cloud API.
Why build it in such a way that there you're locked into one provider when you can just use this tool and have the ability to choose any provider in the future? I mean, even for fallbacks, like what if anthropic API is down that particular day when you need the service?
We Are Legion (We Are Bob) was my flat-out favorite series this year. I'm positive that a lot of HN users would love it. The Punch Escrow by Tal Klein was also a favorite of this year.
I have a coinbase account, but it looks like like a Coinbase Commerce account. Commerce wont accept my regular Coinbase login. I guess I have to create a new account?
"I can't believe that those ad execs really believe that people want intrusions like that."
They know that they don't. I am starting to believe that these companies do shitty things on purpose (Looking at that Pepsi ad with the Kardashian girl) knowing full well the amount of outrage and free publicity it will get.
I did work on a project that was Rails 3, and for various reasons, it can never be upgraded without basically rebuilding the entire system. They keep hoping for an exit that will simply never happen because who would buy a rotting system like that? I think myself and only a few other devs there understood the situation. Its not like sales or the CEO fully understood.
Jekyll created static websites, with no database for an attack vector. I learned this the hard way after having a few digital ocean droplets compromised, no backups, etc. Thats one advantage.
Can some add HTML to the documentation, or maybe make a codepen, along with using it with a CDN? Im trying to use it in a test app but I;m not quite getting how everything is fitting together. A single HTML page with everything on it would be really ideal.

I completely agree but some people don't want to admit what a huge failure Drupal is after they've spent years of their lives working on it, with it, promoting to clients and defending it.
