I guess it is less the uni than the first job(s). On the uni for me it was everything from assembler, c, bash to java and matlab so rather no chances for catching an accent.
But later working with some folks and doing much coding on my own could create some style, like naming the methods or the overall way of thinking of and structuring the code.
Also the Clean Code and Thinking in Patterns books could shape that in some way.
Maybe it works for specialists in the narrow fields, but as I shifted from electronics to IT, I could not find real benefits for myself there, even in the "Computer" section.
But...
"Memory is disabled. ChatGPT won't use or create memories."
and nothing is stored there. Weird.
Still, the on-the-fly translation remains a mystery
Now it is monthly, but if you are new to it, you will have much to listen every week for 2 years before you catch up with the latest story...
Well... I understand your point of view and good intentions, but... IMO you should read this article first: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40184673 / https://theluddite.org/#!post/google-ads

So what do you do after those 4 hours? You put the treadmill away and sit on the chair, you change the desks, you put a gymnastic ball on top on the treadmill to sit on it?
This question motivates me to rethink the whole operational strategy and to start using it again and maybe your answer would give a fresh idea how to solve my limited space issue. Thanks.
And that is actually a good thing!
I guess the one saying about things happening for a reason, or going further, the reason why they happen is to give us a chance to act on them in some way, talks to me the most.
So I started taking an eye on myself, and whenever I went there I closed the browser and reprimended myself vocally (I said: you went there again. Do not go there anymore.)
After some time I stopped typing the address, I stopped choosing it from the browser hints, I stopped choosing it from the search results.
That was hard, but worked. Even today I do not go there, as the addiction may return (I saw that on myself in the past).
Good luck and... goodbye!
Beside the obvious ones like linkedin, indeed, monster.
Maybe there is a hidden hub like HN I am not aware of?
Like someone already mentioned /r/homelab for more ideas.
I often go to youtube to find explaination to different things, but usually I ended up watching 10 other very interesting videos and even sometimes forgetting what for I came in the first place!
It's either a weak will of mine or great algorithms serving what I would love to watch. Now it's an easy game: only what I came for and no distractions!
Best move ever, YT!
