Ayyy, Day of Defeat was peak early 2000's FPS.
pgporada··on Launch HN: Electric Air (YC W23) – Heat pump sold directly to homeowners
How does your heat pump system work with ERVs and HRVs that bring fresh air into the home directly for the blower in the furnace? How well do heat pumps work to remove humidity from spray foamed houses (rim joists, walls, attic) vs a regular AC unit? I suffer from high humidity after spray foaming my house and wish I could go back and undo it.

Will this work in a 2550sqft house?

pgporada··on I bought a CO2 monitor and it broke me
I installed a broan nutone ERV this past summer and it's made a tremendous difference with the CO2 levels in my house. We retrofit spray foamed the house (don't, dumb idea, definitely not the attic if you're reading this) and CO2 would build up in the nursery over night well past 1400ppm according to an AirThings Wave+. Now at night it averages like 800ppm in there.

With an ERV, the best thing that I found to do is wire it to my furnace such that when the furnace kicks on, it will trigger the ERV to start. Otherwise you'll get furnace blower cycles separate from ERV cycles and it won't be as effective.

pgporada··on An ancient Persian way to keep cool (2021)
We spray foamed our entire house and the humidity shot through the roof in the late spring and summer months (65%+) and had to run a dehumidifier constantly negating any benefit from our solar panels. Fall and winter were great because we saw a major decrease (like 40%) in natural gas usage compared to that time frame the previous year. However, our home was built without a scuttle because they weren't code yet meaning that our home air got stale quickly and wasn't able to be exhausted through the now spray foamed air holes. We then installed an ERV and it made all the difference in the world.

The Baseline Requirements require revocation of misissued certificates, this isn't "a CA covering up mistakes."

Interesting. I could see myself opening a terminal (or 10) to perform some small scope of work, starting the timer, and then closing the terminals and timer once that task is done.

You'll want to study the Baseline Requirements and join the various forums such as MozDevSecurityPolicy (MDSP). Do you have a business plan for this month, year, next year, 2 years out? Are you ready to not sleep and hate yourself for an undetermined time as you get this thing bootstrapped?

Speaking for myself here.

The workforce is spread across the states. When you're drawn to the mission like I am, late nights here and there don't matter at all. I communicated with my wife and I'm sure others informed their significant others what was going on etc and why Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday would be thrown out of wack. Members of the team put in much more hours than I did and that is truly impressive. It takes all of us with our different specialties to make an accurate and effective response.

Some of the things we do are internal post mortems and find ways to prevent the issue from happening again by either improving alerting/monitoring, writing a runbook, fixing code, and fixing misconceptions about a part of the entire system. We do weekly readings of various RFCs, the Baseline Requirements, and other CAs CP and CPS documents to again better understand our system and Web PKI as a whole. This is an understatement, but we heavily rely on automation. From the moment the call was made to stop issuance, an SRE was ready to run the code that disables the issuance pipeline.

The biggest takeaway is that communication and leadership makes all the difference.

I have to go, there's work to be done.
