Companies like this stifle innovation.
Al Capone was taken down because he had more power than that of the government. These companies are being shut down because they are not willing to pay the shakedown money by the city mafia.
We need to take this country back and until you people do not understand this, you will remain slaves. I almost believe that this is what you want..
I do not. This is NOT what this country was built upon and changing this, being OK with this will eventually lead to the destruction of our country, which, before that happens, will be a civil war.
"When you use Google, do you get more than one answer? Of course you do, well, that is a bug. We should be able to give you the right answer. We should know what you meant."
What is "right" or "wrong" (or problematic) today will more than likely later be proved the opposite.
This is censorship. It doesn't matter what the meaning of problematic is.
We are headed into a digital dark age.
I'm very lucky and I have some wonderful children I cannot see them going out and doing something like this however people do stupid things. I don't think charging someone with something that is going to stick with them for the rest of their life for something that they did when they were 13 ,14, 17 years old.. they are kids and their brains, hello all you scientists out of there, are not even fully developed.
Listen, if a 17-year-old child sent an explicit image to my daughter I would be over at the parents house faster than you can imagine. That kid obviously needs a swift kick in the ass, he or she does not deserve to be charged with a crime will follow that person for life.
If we continue to charge children as adults, kids that are 13,14,15 or 17, then we might as well change the age of when you are an adult to 13 years old.
has anyone given any consideration to the crap that these kids are bombarded with on a moment by moment basis on television in music and all entertainment, it is hyper sexualized. What do you expect your children to do when they are faced with this?
The sad situation and I don't agree with the stupid thing that this kid did in the stupid things the kids are going to do but they are kids! Come on now, haven't we seen cases recently where adult pedophiles have been let off? Are we going mad?
Teaching people how to think critically is the answer, informing people early about not believing everything you read and hear on TV or the Internet (wait, does internet get capitalized still, i forget..) Fact checking services, "official sources" and certifying things is just a way to filter information and limit available data. People need to be taught how to research and collect facts, weigh them and come up with their own answers, no amount of fact checking is going to eliminate lies.
What is the problem with this? Well, lets use the example of what Googles CEO said that "more than one answer/result to a search is a bug or flaw".. really? See the problem with in this thinking? In Googles future, anyone who is attempting to gather information is only going to get what their algorithm deems “the correct answer”.. ? Do you see the problem yet? How about a news site that is 100% certified accurate by ABX fact checking service which is registered with the US Gov and regulated and swears that they validate authenticity within .010mf (that is "milli-factoids", a patent pending measurement of reliable information) I am certain you could feel confident that everything is on the up and up, right? Do you see now? All this garbage could be eliminated by educating people, however, that is not the purpose of this “fake news” narrative.
Information is power and there was a time when it was reserved to just some people, now it is everywhere and unstoppable, people cannot be as easily lied to and deceived. The mainstream news is caught almost daily. The truth will always be the truth, it doesn’t take all kinds of theories, processes, flowcharts and certifications to back up, those are usually the lies.
Its pretty clear, we don't want people to think. We want to create subservient pseudo-automatons.
I agree that motivation can be maintained through anticipation of reward, but that is just conditioning not instinct.
They are evil.
There are plenty of real crisis around the world, right? The Japanese should be more concerned about how a certain area ahem Fukushima, is still killing our ocean.
That is a crisis.
Good choice
Those who died should be remembered. I think of the apollo missions and I think of Gus Grissom, this man was a hero and there are few. This was a man who was not afraid to stand up and speak the truth.
We are in an era right now in which, we have more information available to us than ever, yet, standing up and questioning what we have been told to be truth, is met with significant resistance. We are taught things in school that are, without question, incorrect. We must remember those for sure, we must listen to them, follow in their footsteps of bravery.
Neil Armstrong made an amazing speech on the 25th anniversary of Apollo:
"There are great ideas undiscovered, breakthroughs available to those who can remove one of truth’s protective layers. "
Citizens need to lead for calls of drug policy reform. We are the masters of our destiny, The problems surrounding drug abuse directly affect US, the people who live in our communities. Start going to your local city council meetings and take a stand, voice your opinion. This isnt going to be solved by Doctors! The majority of Doctors are direct beneficiaries to this abuse. I am not saying EVERY doctor is bad, I am saying that they are part of a business and drugs are a high margin product.
Looks interesting and it is nice to not have to carry around multiple devices.
We have been warned by many about the military industrial complex, yet, it doesn't sink in.
Our current president was elected on promises of ending these wars and somehow he will go down in history as the champion of military occupation and perpetuating conflicts in places we don't belong.
Truth is that peace doesn't make money, it doesn't grease the wheels of industry, the difference is that where is the industry? It used to be that the US would at least benefit from the industry through employment and tax revenue, but what if the production is no longer in the US? Who benefits then? I can tell you with accuracy who doesn't ..
