pferdone··on Here’s Some Cryptocurrency. Now Please Use It
You can basically search for "ripple test net" on Google, and the first result leads you directly to a page where you can create a test account here: https://developers.ripple.com/xrp-test-net-faucet.html

And I really don't know why you think Gatehub (the exchange) has anything to do with Ripple.

They can't. Their 60% is in escrow. 1 billion XRP is released each month and the remainder of the unused XRP is put back into escrow after that month. https://ripple.com/xrp/market-performance/

What peace are you talking about? The one in Syria, which has led to mass migration?! The middle-east is not a safer place. Actually battle related deaths have risen in the last years. https://ourworldindata.org/war-and-peace

Your superficial statements about ‚bad guys‘ and ‚thugs‘ that only respond to ‚power‘ led me to believe you‘ve watcht one to many movies. Destabilizing countries doesn‘t bring peace to the world.

pferdone··on Material Components Preview
Take a look at https://react-md.mlaursen.com it's the most complete and best looking Material implementation I've seen so far!

I also had my fair share of experience with all the material-ui, react-mdl, materialize and what not. None of them is production ready. Even if you used plain mdl (which is by Google) there's so much missing like select, calendar, etc

I pay 15€/month for 4GB LTE with unlimited SMS and minutes and it's prepaid. I know it's not the best in Europe but it has gotten better.
pferdone··on A Letter to the Berlin Startup Scene
Companies calling themself startups after 2 years of trying to find their market or get into one, just to pay you below average, make you work overtime, because if you don't they can't turn the ship around...are just too common. I've been there a couple of times.

It's almost always between bullshit promises of 'we are this close to go through the roof' and asking you to take a 20% cut on your salary, because everybody is, and at the same time bringing in new people every month.

They call themself startups, but they are not. They are businesses hanging on to straws, because of narcissistic people unable to admit they failed.

pferdone··on Angular 2 Final Released
The problem with material-ui is that a lot of their components don't follow material design guidelines like their tables for example. It looks good, but it's not material. react-mdl is much closer to material, but incomplete due to missing components. Angular seems to have the best implementation so far, but I'm looking forward to material-design-lite v2

I can not share your experience at all. We are using React with Typescript for our projects at work and we have all common systems present (Linux, Windows, Mac).

Our projects compile from Typescript to ES6 and then ES6 to ES5 through babel. All of that takes place in webpack, and it was pretty easy to setup. We also all use Visual Studio Code and it's a joy to work with.

If you use something like hjs-webpack it gives you (hot-)reloading for code changes out of the box.
