petrel··on Shutting down Ubuntu One file services
Thank God. It was a pathetic service and it was an adventure to solve the captcha used while creating a new account.
petrel··on Google faces up to $5B fine from Competition Commission of India
What I know is, India is the most corrupt country. If you want to do business in the best ethical way, this is not the place. Try something else, or learn dirty politics and exploit peoples before you enter..... I am Indian..

petrel··on Show HN: Freader, an open source RSS Reader built with Node.js and Angular
It is not working and says invalid feed even though the address is correct and works with all other readers.
petrel··on Why I left Google (2012)
Google first Kills or acquire small companies and then kill the acquired company for integrating it with Google Plus. Then turn off the service without thinking about the peoples using it.

It is the power of huge money, monopoly and over confidence.

petrel··on Will Google Penalize Itself Again for Using Advertorials?
I just do not understand this Do-follow and nofollow. I don't want to. I use captcha and give some credit to those who spam manually.

petrel··on The Nightmare That Keeps Microsoft Awake: Android On The Desktop
Just a hot headline. Nothing will happen. Whether, Android on Surface or Winodws / Ubuntu on Nexus or something else on some other device. There is more world than just what Geeks do. Just a catchy headline and author have no any justified reason for it.
petrel··on How $100 Million Really Gets Donated, Mark Zuckerberg Style
Good purpose also?
petrel··on Now Google is blocking Windows Phones from accessing maps.Google.com
Again a open case of abusing Monopoly. Google keep forcing the users as it want and everyone says, its a free service and can be bent as Google want. It forces to use Google Plus for may services, forces to log in to Google to install chrome extensions.
petrel··on A fundamental problem with OpenID
I have a blogger blog. I once tried / used OpenID on some website, I never returned back there. Now, I realized that I will never go there again, and still there is no any way to block those website and control panel of blogger always say that "Sites that can always see your URL" and include those websites. Now I will never use OpenID again anywhere. Its more confusing than actual use.
petrel··on There's no avoiding Google+
It is clearly an abuse of monopoly. I am already using GMail, Free google apps, search, android apps review and many other things. If now I have to do the same thing, I am forced to either sign up for Google plus, which also force me to give my complete name along with other personal details, If not I can not use all these services. What a strange, is it not a abuse of monopoly? I dont want to give my personal details, is it not my right? Why google is forcing me to do so? Why I cant keep using android review withoug using Google plus?
petrel··on Ratan Tata, Head of $100B Tata & Sons, Retires
The software or the front-end doesn't matter for the arm TCS. It is the revenue TATA get from it. The TCS doesn't develope any software, but just create a code for other software, just as asked by the US and other customers. They are back-end in other words. The revenue matters. As and Indian I also don't know any software created by TCS. They just TYPE as said by other.
petrel··on The Problem With Windows 8
I installed Windows 8 on my notebook. It works great, looks great, have many useful applications, though not too many, but there will be more as time passes. I can use the traditional desktop with one click and never thought anything complicated with the new tile interface. Don't know why the tech bloggers find it more complicated the the general peoples? Tech bloggers are creating more confusion than the OS itself.
petrel··on The Sad State of our Democracy
The discussion completely hacked by the security and tourist point of view, though the view of the article was to say about the current condition of Governance in India. I am also a Indian. Most of the time, when I see any western tourist, I feel very embarrassed. I always think that why they have come here, what is special in India, that they come here? This is not the first time that such incident has occurred. There are many examples that many international tourists have suffered of the same shameful thing. No one cares, no one is serious, and the government is still being a long sleeping mode. This is the result of what happen when most of the officials, who investigates, the media who cover, the politician who don't know the seriousness are just trying to have a tv bite and they don't understand anything beyond vote bank.
petrel··on 2012 Person of the Year: Barack Obama, the President
This was bound to happen.
petrel··on Psy Makes $8.1 Million By Ignoring Copyright Infringements Of Gangnam Style
Microsoft Windows has already gone in same way. Piracy has actually made Windows so popular and inevitable also. You can not ignore and you can not live without Windows, atleast for now. Here in India, computing is a Windows though the most of the PC are running on pirated Windows. Piracy has it won benefits.

That is really a good news for every married man, mostly for those who think, life is more thought after marriage.
