petraeus··on Trolls Are Swarming Young Climate Activists Online
Kids are simply used these days to deflect any criticism, HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE A 16 YR OLD KID

The truth is most of these children are just that, children, they are being used by capitalistic parents as a walking billboard for whatever agenda or service is being promoted.

Awareness is great and all but not many people are looking to be more aware, we are looking for practical solutions, none of which are being offered with all the attention goes to idolizing a child.

petraeus··on Universal Laws of the World
Its highly likely that tourists would congregate around the same attractions when visiting a foreign city. A site like tripadvisor would have enough data to predict with high confidence the itinerary of 1000 random couples who visit a place. I live in a resort city and there is a clear distinction between areas that locals gather and the places tourists frequent.

You sure can if you find somebody willing to take them

petraeus··on What does Stack Overflow want to be when it grows up?
Pretty obvious answer similar to what google does, show alternative views and account for vote inflation.

e.g. if you get 1000 upvotes in position 1 those are worth less than 750 votes in position 2 because its expected that users will lean towards the first answer presented

petraeus··on Building a Site in 24 Hours and Growing It to +$2M/Year

petraeus··on Why China doesn’t dominate soccer
Its simple really, chinese ppl in general dont care about sports let alone hockey, most of my friends have never been to a hockey game, or baseball or a soccer match. Chinese people would rather work and have other hobbies outside of sports. Sports isnt the end all be all. its actually not very important at all in the big scheme, you can get excerise in many other ways and be successful in many different professions.

petraeus··on Is capitalism a threat to democracy?
The only way to fix democracy is to make voting mandatory, but the elites in power have no motive to change the system. In fact they have all the reason to keep the status-quo. The current version of democracy is a treat to democracy itself.

Its quite clear to anyone with even an passing understanding of copyright and to anyone with even a basic moral compass that what this fraudster did was not illegal or right and he paid the price. A few techcrunch articles will not change this understanding.
petraeus··on Credit card fraud warning signs
A velocity report is the only real way of pro-actively catching fraudsters. something like ip address by alias or something similar.
