peterwallhead··on An open source web-based flashcard studying system
Not sure if the site's being HN'd or not, but the signup failed and then when I resubmitted the form it said my username was already taken. Tried a password reset just in case, but nothing came through for that either. Lots of error 401's, 409's and 500's in the network inspector.
peterwallhead··on Have I Been Squatted?
Reminds me of the excellent https://dnstwister.report/
peterwallhead··on Heroku Security Notification
Cheers to admin for changing the title, but old title better reflected the last update (and I used it because Heroku doesn't have a permalink to each new update).
peterwallhead··on How NFTs will change hiring
@dang, remind me not to submit blockchain or NFT related links ever again.
peterwallhead··on How NFTs will change hiring
To be clear, I'm not sharing this because I agree with it (because I don't), but I'd love to hear what HN thinks.
peterwallhead··on Get notified when a file on GitHub has changed
If you use https://larder.io/ with GitHub star sync enabled you can get weekly emails for new release notes. While it doesn't replicate the functionality demonstrated here, it's still a cool tool.
peterwallhead··on I published an eBook for the first time on Imposter Syndrome
Note: Even though we share the same first name, this isn't my ebook.
peterwallhead··on Ask HN: Suggestions for fitness widget for personal website?
I've been using Exist [0] to collect and analyse my fitness data for a number of years. Their API [1] is pretty good, I use it to generate my own daily stats page [2]

peterwallhead··on We were supposed to be living in pod houses
My late father, Malcolm Wallhead, designed an igloo-shaped hut in the 1970's, ideal for setting up in remote places to escape the pressures of city life. Even though it's rarely purchased for that purpose, they're still quite popular for short-term accommodation.

peterwallhead··on Intents – Get linked with people that see what you see
Interesting idea. Might get more interest if you post this as a Show HN.
peterwallhead··on Drawing with Sound (Oscilloscope Music)
Warning for strobing effects and high pitched sounds.
peterwallhead··on Challenge anyone and win great prizes (AU and NZ)
Pre-traction landing page with email subscription to each challenge list. Launches in September.
peterwallhead··on Ask HN: Do you know of any project with the goal to log and map a human life?
https://exist.io is making a good start (not affiliated, just a happy user).
peterwallhead··on TalentHunch – The First Month
My latest startup, TalentHunch, relaunched in early March 2017. Here’s how it’s going so far.
peterwallhead··on TalentHunch – The First Week
My latest startup, TalentHunch, relaunched one week ago. Here’s how it’s going so far.
peterwallhead··on Show HN: TalentHunch – it's like Tinder for recruitment
This is a new submission of an existing project because I recently rebuilt it from the ground up. This new version tries to use Tinder-like functionality to increase user engagement (and total job views).

Jobs are currently sourced from a third party and so are limited to Aus and NZ for now.

peterwallhead··on Show HN: TalentHunch – An Aus and NZ job matching webapp
@fspear, thanks for the feedback :)

Yep, I've looked at importing from LinkedIn and it's something I'm still considering. The only problem with LinkedIn is that it only pulls in your current roles, not all your roles (unless you pay).

Agree re. importing CV too. It's on my long list.

peterwallhead··on Show HN: TalentHunch – An Aus and NZ job matching webapp
As this may be flagged as a duplicate... I've taken some of the feedback onboard since my last Show HN and improved the landing page to explain the product better. I've also added some privacy related FAQs.
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Find your perfect (AU/NZ) job
@viraptor: All fair points, thank you. This is only the first release, so there's lots to work on still.
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Find your perfect (AU/NZ) job
I'm only the developer of the site, so that doesn't count for much, but it's not an info collection site :)

peterwallhead··on Show HN: Find your perfect (AU/NZ) job
It's a job matching site, not a job search site (at this stage).
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Find your perfect (AU/NZ) job
Correct. Because it can't match jobs to an empty profile.

At a minimum you need to add at least 1 skill to generate any matches.

peterwallhead··on Show HN: Find your perfect (AU/NZ) job
This is the first release (MVP) of a project I've been thinking about/redesigning/building for a while. Happy to answer any questions.
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Igloos That Don't Melt
Prices start from $22,560AUD (about $17,236USD), for a basic cabin without furniture.

peterwallhead··on Show HN: Igloos That Don't Melt
I hope so!
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Igloos That Don't Melt
That's a number set by the licensed manufacturer, which I'm not party to. Sorry.
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Igloos That Don't Melt
For a basic Igloo (8 wall panels, without furniture) prices start from AUD $22,560 (current as of Dec. 2014) - http://www.icewall.com.au/about/faqs/
peterwallhead··on Show HN: Igloos That Don't Melt
OP here.

I'm the younger son of the late inventor of these igloos and I just want to share this product with a wider audience.

Of tech interest, 2 Igloos are being used as meeting rooms in Google's Zurich HQ.

Would love to hear your thoughts on other possible tech related uses too.

peterwallhead··on Software Job Matcher – Quickly match your experience to jobs
Developer here: Thanks for that. Yep, I haven't worked out a nice way to present that notification yet.
peterwallhead··on Software Job Matcher – Quickly match your experience to jobs
Developer here: Thanks. It becomes more useful with the more language experience you have. Plus, if the languages you use are less common then it will struggle to return relevant job matches.
