I've been trying to research something similar to your alkaline natural substance recently. Did you ever come up with a good substance? One of the only things I can find with minimal side-effects is baking soda.
I think there's gonna be alot of teenage pranks and destruction. People setting the landing spot in the water or people stealing them with nets. Not sure if much recourse unless there camera footage or gps locator.
Every city water utility has this same problem. Having close knowledge of the problems, I don't think this is a good solution. Many of the customers get shut off and then immediately pay their bill along with the penalties (approx 3/4). This is often cyclical with the same people getting shutoff every couple months. Appears to me to be administrative. Should have financial people show them how to budget or organize their bills to prevent getting the fees so it doesn't happen again in the long run. Another thing the article points to is a $250 fee for turning on the water. Often when the water is turned on without authorization the utility equipment is damaged. The fix can involve calling out trade workers to saw out parts of streets and sidewalks and replacing expensive brass lead-free parts. $250 would be in the neighborhood of the cost.
I recently started a similar service and quickly got out of it. Even though I was offering to negotiate deals for free there was lackluster interest. Buying a car from a dealership is painful it seems people still want to do it for the experience, or think they can do better themselves (paying a higher price in the process). I would like to know if these people are licensed brokers or how they will handle that in states that require it. Truecar has a decent system in place (although there are problems too) and I think it's hard to beat the out especially taking fees from both sides with a significant portion on the buyer.
-Right now our area has a special - 10 for $1.39. Last year they had 4 for $1.00. Regular price here is $5.00 for 20 piece and around $3.50 for 10 piece. People have been buying alot more nuggets but I still see poor people like me buying the expensive burger option. I think the crumbs users are just buying the 10 piece because they don't realize the 20 piece is the same price.
Even if you did fail, the experience gained may be worth it. Have you learned most of what you can learn in your current position? I would think you have within that two year span.
1. amendor-account created 2hrs ago-wondering if maybe you have previous ties to this person and just trying to haunt him?
2. Is he actually delivering the goods? I'm not sure if whence employees do it or a third party. As CEO i would be surprised if he is handling any of the transactions by hand.
3. As a previous Coast Guard Academy student, I question the validity of the findings and take any punishment sentencing with a grain of salt. The barracks are tiny and highly-populated with 2-4 people per dorm room. Doors have to be open all the time during daylight hours unless changing or sleeping and there cadets on duty monitoring the areas. You were not allowed to have closed doors in rooms occupied by opposite sex so that would be caught and investigated immediately. Just seems highly unlikely to me especially with 4 different people. During my stay, we had the campus locked down because of a rapist and something like six months later the female cadet admitted she made the whole thing up - so there's a history of false positives. Lastly, they over-punish. I had one friend get discharged for verbally hitting-on another cadet while he was drunk and another friend discharged for getting help from a classmate on a homework assignment.
4. I have a friend who is a registered sex offender and constantly goes through shit for it. If he did something legit wrong I would have no sympathy for him, but the details of his case in particular opened up my eyes alot to how someone can get screwed. Web Smith jumps out to me as one where it may not be the severity of the label or even true.
Something I didn't understand is that if Sonar had millions of downloads is that just due to hype and marketing or did the users just plateau? Did they have a thing that nobody really wanted with alot of churn or dedicated users with slow growth at end?

I think this is super cool...but never underestimate just how lazy, preoccupied, or uncaring people are. I've tried a few two-sided marketplace ideas and even people who could benefit will still find a reason not to use it.
Oh, this is industry specific, but there is an unfilled need for ring-saw or ductile iron pipe chainsaws that can cut clean through 6" diameter pipe. Called all the tool rental places around and nobody has one. See alot of construction guys doing way unsafe things because of this.
noob angel here - what is the maximum valuation box for? I figured if you are investor you want that number as low as possible and the company wants that number to be max big. I tried putting in .000001M but says "must be at least 5M". Is there any reason you would make it bigger than 5M?
I find that every good young worker that has only been somewhere under a few years is always keeping their eyes open for a better situation. It should be assumed everyone is looking if the company has good management - your boss probably is too.
Been to 100+ shows/concerts and my favorite was the one I set up with a friend's band who played the cramped kitchen in our party house. I was only making $5/hr working part-time so I offered them gas money and beer, but they said they would do it for free it I couldn't spare it. More recently I offered a rap group to play a local park for my birthday for $150 bucks and they loved the idea.
A similar thing worked well for our customer service blunders at Enterprise. We were taught to straight up ask what the customer how we could make it up to them or what they would like -> very open-ended. They said customers aren't used to hearing that and are even more surprised when they get what they directly ask for.
I use it, but it wasn't until my money went away that I thought much about it. I definitely have less incentive to keep it going. I'd need to go through the hassle of getting more dedicated advertisers or sponsors now. So in that respect it's bad for websites in general.
My adsense money went from $1000/yr to $100/yr and now I'll be lucky if I break $25. Nothing changed with my users. My only guess is that everyone is using adblock.
I like the concept of https://www.optionsaway.com but everytime I try to get a price quote it just says this flight is no longer available. Anybody get it to work? I was trying to find out how much it costs for each time period lock.
It's very frustrating, I bought three over the last couple years. I think the biggest help to consumers is TrueCar.com which basically uses the information they gather about prices people recently paid for cars to negotiate a fair price for both parties. Whenever I mentioned TrueCar the salesmen were kinda disappointed because they knew they couldn't squeeze any extra money out of you. I started a website to help people get good deals on cars and then just decided to quit because TrueCar was efficient enough. Even the dealers that didn't participate still respected their pricing. At that point it was just a question of making sure not to get screwed on the financing and trade-ins.
Sam Altman's law of conservation of how much happiness you can put into the world with the first product from a startup -> the total amount of love is the same it's just a question of how it's distributed.
check your local city/county governments - governmentjobs.com - they got good benefits and I always see these type of jobs sitting for months. I don't think they give a damn if you have any side projects - just that you have CS degree.
