"... and the record will show that I kicked him repeatedly long before he went down. I beat him like a mad dog with mange every time I got a chance, and I am proud of it. He was scum”
Do you have a source for “very likely”? I’m at “plausibly escaped from” so far and would be interested in evidence that changes that in either direction.
The publication is a (very nicely written) right-wing rag for Little Englanders who want to believe they're a cut above Daily Mail readers.

Doubt it, given that they claim it
Would you believe that that's _exactly_ the kind of things that Public Health professionals and academics _do_ debate and try and explain?
Would you believe there’s literally an entire field of study about this called “Public Health”? You can do a Masters in it and everything
I’ve been in countries with outdoor mask mandates almost since the start of this thing, and I don’t really understand this. How has it become a chore? Don’t you just pick up a mask from a pack or a reusable one as you leave your home? I haven’t noticed any difference in sense of smell, albeit my sense of smell is very keen.

By far the largest deployed facial authentication system is of course Face ID, which this has zero/zilch/no chance at all of working against.

My favourite Thai pronunciation is the common Thai nickname “Apple” which is a loanword. However they pronounce it “ah-poon” because the character they use for the l sound (ล) is pronounced as an n in the terminal position. Also, Thais like to shorten words, so sometimes this nickname becomes simply Ple, pronounced “Poon” O_o
