Rules for naming a startup
1. Easy to pronounce 2. Easy to spell 3. Easy to remember 4. As few syllables as possible 5. .com unless very good reason otherwise 6. Related to the product/service
Calen.com would be a no go if it were me because it violates rules 1,2,3 and 6.
I’d go with something like habitkeeper.com which is only $2.5k.
To get this technology to work as envisioned will require hundreds of technical breakthroughs across many fields.
By my estimate, Cool Effect spends around 3-4x of the actual credit costs on marketing related expenses. This is publicly available through their 990 filing.

I inquired from credit wholesalers about large volume pricing and found that the actual cost is less than $3/ton of CO2e. For an average US consumer with a 20 ton carbon footprint, that would come out to $60/year or $5/mo if sold at cost. To me this is a no-brainer for anyone that wants to be carbon neutral immediately.
I'm setting up a carbon credit buying club where we can get them at wholesale prices. My goal is to sell them right at cost in a radically transparent way where members provide all the marketing we need. If anyone here is interested in joining, you can email me at paul@carbonspace.com.
I've set up a public benefit corporation, CarbonSpace.org. Just a landing page at the moment, but I've signed up friends and family while in private beta and the run rate with this group alone is already above 4m pounds of CO2 annually (more than just carbon neutral). We're doing it by lowering our carbon footprint as efficiently as possible while at the same time funding methane gas projects that reduce emissions on an industrial scale. The first milestone for the network is 10m lbs, which we'll hit in a few months.
Hit me up if interested.[paul]{@}[carbonspace][.][org]
