patriciobcs··on Protest against housing crisis in Spain
people down vote me but is true, real state companies with status like socimis have 95% discount in transfer tax. For example if they buy an used house in Barcelona, they pay just 0.5% transfer tax, while everyone else have to pay 10%.
patriciobcs··on Protest against housing crisis in Spain
Taxing empty housing and forcing people to live in the place they own, rent it or sell it. Keeping houses empty is the same as blocking a street in the middle of a city. Of course, they need to build more, but that will take longer to work.

patriciobcs··on Protest against housing crisis in Spain
There is a lot of empty housing in this cities, and big real state corps have fiscal advantage to take over any new building so that would not fully solve the problem in Spain at least.
patriciobcs··on Show HN: MacUp – keep CLI tools up to date from the menu bar
There is many CLI tools to maintain update, yes you can just maintain all using a custom script, but this is a simple GUI for people that prefer that. Consider nowadays many people using CLI tools via agents, so they don’t really use the terminal that much.

patriciobcs··on Opus 5.5 is good at explainer videos
I tried it, but I can't see the video. The model just outputs this in the chat: /root/workspace/renderer/out/local.mp4

No way to download or watch it in the webapp of opencomputer. No instructions on what to do? Do I need to run it locally? It seems it did use usage.

patriciobcs··on RTK reports token savings, but our cost benchmarks disagree
It seems to depend on the task you are doing. In my case, I use a lot gh and docker CLI, and RTK has save me a lot of usage there. However, using other others CLIs like grep or git doesn’t seem to help that much. I use it mainly for security reviews of codebase and for this particular use case it helps a lot.
