I’d be so keen for the solution to lie in the browser UX- in the same way as we currently request location information - rather than the current mish-mash of badly implemented, often disingenuous site overlays that have become the modern equivalent of the ‘enter site’ splash screen...
One step we've had to take is to stop using copies of the live database in our dev environments (I suspect that practice is fairly common!). Instead we've build an automated rule-based system that produces 'munged' copies of the data (i.e. realistic size and type, but with no useful information), transferring that to our build and dev systems nightly - and reporting on what steps have been taken.
Shameless plug - we're also in the process of building plugins for platforms like Wordpress[1] to simplify some of this for smaller projects.

are broken - but the links to the modules at the top of the page work OK.
The only voices actively trying to counter that are former prime ministers (sorry Tony - right message, really really wrong guy) and the Lib Dems who lack the political presence at the moment.
When do we get a meaningful opposition to this?
Even if the role doesn't demand skills in English you should at least care about creating a good impression enough to make sure you've ironed out grammar errors in your application.
> "UserVoice has confirmed that about 0.001% of users' encrypted passwords were taken, and we are notifying those users directly. We are notifying you because you are listed as an administrator of your UserVoice account, and we want to inform you of steps we are taking to protect your and your team’s information."
Does that mean you're notifying me that my details were taken, or that this is just a friendly "hey, we got hacked" message?
The tone of the announcement, and miserly transition period leaves a pretty bitter taste that will make recommending Mailchimp in future hard.
