panzerklein··on The Rapier Physics Engine
I've used Matter.js in a project with custom canvas renderer and it performed great. The only issue that I've had to patch up was tunnelling at high speeds. But this is a common problem with many engines.
panzerklein··on First Impressions of Rust
Suggestion for page styling: replace "overflow: scroll" with "overflow: auto" to get rid of unnecessary scrollbars in code blocks. Unless you like them the way they are, of course.
panzerklein··on Moving from TypeScript to Rust / WebAssembly
Typescript has two hacks that help with mixing of similar data and introduce somewhat-nominal typing - branding and flavoring [1]. Also see smart constructors [2] for more functional approach.

panzerklein··on Blender 2.83 LTS
Great news! gLTF is also a preferred way to export models for use in webgl 3d frameworks, like three.js
panzerklein··on Blender 2.83 LTS
Blender's versioning is a bit confusing. Change in the second number is not a minor release, but a proper major. They acknowledged it and gonna adopt more conventional versioning scheme for the upcoming 3.x [1]

3d software is a complex thing, many things could be unexpected for inexperienced users. I would suggest asking a question on Blender Stack Exchange [2] instead of downgrading.

panzerklein··on The Miracle Sudoku [video]
Picross 3D is amazing. Should run without any problems on emulator.
panzerklein··on Making Emacs Popular Again
Can you elaborate, please? How do you use latex, images and cross-links in markdown?
panzerklein··on Simpler UI Logic With Finite State Machines
Every language can do tagged unions with "kind" or "tag" markers and switch statement. But it's going to be verbose without pattern matching/destructuring combo.
panzerklein··on .su
.xyz is easy to get. Also cheap.
panzerklein··on A Common Lisp library for solving linear programming problems
Another recent computation library for Common Lisp: https://github.com/numcl/numcl
panzerklein··on Nigerian Teens Are Making Sci-Fi Shorts with Slick Visual Effects
Blender, I suppose, just as the article says.
panzerklein··on New React DevTools
Does anybody else get "Unable to find React on the page" error in private mode in Firefox?
panzerklein··on Google Sheets Formula Clock
Absolutely.
panzerklein··on Solving Programming Puzzles Without Using Your Brain
Google Foobar puzzles are amazing. Solving them was immensely fun and challenging. Best code I ever wrote.

panzerklein··on Dieter Rams designed products to last, is horrified how we throw things away
Article by Buffy Gorrilla, huh? I like it.
panzerklein··on Why I Switched from Python to Clojure (2016)
Clojure's answer to that problem and a couple of others is clojure.spec
panzerklein··on Clojure Socket Prepl Cookbook
That Conjure thing definitely looks interesting. I wonder how it handles the repl - like fireplace or like slimv.
panzerklein··on Lisp Macros, Delayed Evaluation and the Evolution of Smalltalk
There is whole set of "with-x" macros that aren't about delayed evaluation.
panzerklein··on OpenLisp – A Full and Efficient ISO/IEC 13816:2007(E) ISLISP Implementation
You might be interested in Paradigms of Artificial Intelligence Programming by Peter Norvig. It showcases pretty amazing examples of conciseness and expressivity.
panzerklein··on My one-liner Linux Dropbox client
I setup Syncthing [1] to do the same for my vimwiki folder. It was surprisingly easy, and doesn't require any external storage services. And it can even automatically sync files without internet, over the local network.

panzerklein··on Production Rules (Read-Eval-Print-λove)
Interesting. I didn't know about other such systems.
panzerklein··on Production Rules (Read-Eval-Print-λove)
Querying data against facts - isn't that a job for Prolog?
panzerklein··on Learning Acrobatics by Watching YouTube
I think I can spend all day watching SIGGRAPH videos and reading papers. Always very inspiring and interesting stuff.
panzerklein··on Ask HN: What things have richly rewarded the time invested in mastering them?
Hell yeah
panzerklein··on Learn C and Build Your Own Lisp (2014)
Just read The Little Schemer - the best book on recursion.
panzerklein··on The Machine That Builds Itself: The Strengths of the Lisp Languages (2016)
There are some decent REPL support in vim: slimv for SBCL and vim-fireplace for Clojure
panzerklein··on Talk to Books
That sounds interesting. Could you provide a couple of links to those books?
