But this is especially odd given the Dept of War's apparently serious attempt at declassifying UAP files (www.war.gov/UFO/).
Intentionally or not, seems one would undermine the other.

If they can talk about network layer protocols, then that tells you something. If the next candidate's understanding stops at knitting libraries together, then that's also notable.
Even if it's not a discriminating factor in hiring, it still helps you flesh out the candidate.

The Rust community (generally-speaking) just can't see why people have a visceral reaction against them, independent of its technical qualities. In all my years, I've not seen anything like it.
But I think we can find a lot of agreement around launch speeds, latency, typography and similar.
I genuinely love Emacs people.
I expect a non-trivial amount of game devs (of any political alignment) to at least pause and wonder if this is a good investment.
