orb_yt··on Twitch to start selling video games this week
Keep in mind they acquired Curse, so are very likely looking to go after part of Discord's market share.
orb_yt··on Startups that debuted at Y Combinator W17 Demo Day 2
Sure, but they still need to build a plane, and not just any plane, but an aircraft never before built. What do you think their game plan is moving forward?
orb_yt··on Startups that debuted at Y Combinator W17 Demo Day 2
I was just about to ask about them. I'm curious how YC works with companies like them and Boom Supersonic. They get in, and are given $120k in seed funding. Then what? You can't build aircraft with $120k.

Im interested in hearing some insight on this.

orb_yt··on Michael Seibel, CEO of YC, is doing an AMA
What is the name of the company doing subsonic aircraft?
orb_yt··on Show HN: Employee onboarding through Slack – Slack bot
If it works like it shows, I like this. How difficult is it for companies to integrate their onboarding data?
orb_yt··on Tesla to raise $1B
Please correct me if i'm wrong, but I think the comment was suggesting more than the fact that Tesla, in the literal sense, sells more than cars. I think it's also important to note the company itself supposedly operates much differently than a traditional car company, and in fact much like a software company.
orb_yt··on GitLab acquires Gitter, will open-source the code
> people are willing to throw money for an enterprise gitter

Isn't that just Slack?

orb_yt··on GitLab acquires Gitter, will open-source the code
Looks like they will open source the whole thing. I'd be very interested in learning how much Gitlab paid for this acquisition.
orb_yt··on How we convinced founder-angels to invest in our developer tool startup
> It definitely feels like getting developer tools bootstrapped/funded is harder than other things sometimes

Is this backed by any concrete data? I am working on a developer tool/application myself, and was pleased to find programming tools was an item listed in YCombinator's RFS. What is the general consensus here?

orb_yt··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (March 2017)
Please specify if this is onsite or remote.
orb_yt··on Ask HN: Why does GitHub have a black bar?
This needs to be optional, it looks terrible.
orb_yt··on Introducing Topics
I like this feature, it's very reminiscent of StackOverflow's tags. I do however think this would be better used as a menu or at the bottom of the page, out of the way, as this information will not be relevant on most repository visits. It adds unneeded complexity to the top and most important part of the page where before it felt simple.
orb_yt··on Material Components Preview
While it's not Material, Semantic UI React (http://react.semantic-ui.com/introduction) has been pretty fun to work with.
