onlywicked··on Inflection AI Raises $1.3B
They launched approximately 2 months ago. I tried them previously but other than the fancy interface. I found it comparable to open source models.

They claim that there model is comparable or superior in some cases to GPT3.5-Turbo which I have yet to find. Mostly, they raised the round on the founding team.

onlywicked··on Devious SQL: Message Queuing Using Native PostgreSQL
I don't myself but DigitalOcean had there queue system to create VMs built over MySQL.

I couldn't find the original video describing their architecture. (It's private now, I guess).

onlywicked··on Ask HN: How to setup own server hosting a service with API (and no front end)?
The simplest option is start the service and then tunnel it using Cloudflare Tunnel [0] with your own domain.

With this you won't have to expose port to public internet, and fiddle with your firewall and router.

Then you can use Cloudflare DDoS protection and other offerings.

onlywicked··on How to Dual-Boot Ubuntu 20.04 and Windows 10 with Encryption
I use localhost for accessing stuff inside and outside the WSL2 and it works fine for me.

I never used the private ip. So, I can't say anything.

onlywicked··on How to Dual-Boot Ubuntu 20.04 and Windows 10 with Encryption
The interoperability is good except few applications.

File performance is similar to native as long as you store the files in WSL2.

Only issue, I have faced is that port forwarding does not work sometimes and have to restart WSL2 for fix which I solved using a simple script.

Other than that everything has been a smooth sail. Native docker is a huge win in my list.

onlywicked··on How to Setup Your Own PaaS with Dokku and Node and React and Mongodb and Nginx
If I restart the server, domain mapping doesn't work properly. I have to stop every container and then restart them again to point to correct domains.

I hope it has been fixed.

onlywicked··on How to Setup Your Own PaaS with Dokku and Node and React and Mongodb and Nginx
Dokku is good but I prefer CaptainRover (previously CaptainDuckDuck).

It solves lots of problem I had with dokku in the past.
