Thanks!
onion-soup··on Don't touch my clipboard
What's with ultra-grey font colors? It's not 2010 anymore, give your text some contrast ffs, you are killing my eyes
onion-soup··on BitFS: The Bitcoin File System
Wrong statement. Both btc and bsv are forks. But the latter just follows the whitepaper while btc core introduced anti-patterns like block size or segwit.
onion-soup··on HTTP 402: Payment Required
HTTP is an application level protocol.
onion-soup··on The use of the word ‘robust' to describe software in UK law
Or learn to love proper styling
onion-soup··on Still Why No HTTPS?
Assuming you are talking about software developers, you can't expent people do extra work out of virtue. They will do it only if there is an economic incentive. Setting up a transport layer security is not in software developer's interest or competence.
onion-soup··on Still Why No HTTPS?
While I appreciate the efforts of certbot to make it as user-friendly as possible I still find this state of things unforgivable. I don't know where it went wrong so that today a developer must spend time learning and tweaking a low-level encryption tools. I'm just saying https will never be 100% unless it becomes a baked-in feature of any hosting.
onion-soup··on Still Why No HTTPS?
Because it's always pain in the ass to set it up and then renew?
onion-soup··on Still Why No HTTPS?
Nope, it is not straight-forward and still a confusing process.
onion-soup··on Hard Problems in Cryptocurrency: Five Years Later
BSV is a fork of BCH
onion-soup··on Hard Problems in Cryptocurrency: Five Years Later
Oh shut up already with big block phobia. BSV proves that big blocks is the most rational way to scale. The small block mantra started by blockstream completely rotted the crypto space
onion-soup··on A collection of bad practices in HTML
I often found that stressing about "semantic html" and the "correct way" is just virtue signaling and in reality, in real projects, if it works it works, and you move on.
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
When there are at least 3 independent data centers, it is already decentralized
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
Wrong. Bitcoin SV follows the whitepaper the most
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
This. The red pill that many will reuse to swallow. Only time will tell
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
Bitcoin core altered the protocol by removing instant transactions and adding segwit. So it’s not bitcoin anymore
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
No, it will be around 20 cents to store 1MB
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
1 satoshi per byte. 1 satoshi = 0.00000001 BSV
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
BSV is the original bitcoin. I'm afraid you have been misled by what 'fork' means.
onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
Data centers.

You can browse images storted on chain https://bitstagram.bitdb.network/

It just renders all MIME type img files that are stored as OP_RETURNs. Oh, also you can tip to the sender out of the box (because the uploader's address is just a bitcoin address!)

onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
Yes. It lives as a transaction output under op code 'OP_RETURN'.

See example of weather data stored on chain https://whatsonchain.com/tx/6dac238576e9778458bb62a2f7d936fd...

>are there fees to host this data (as we need to pay miners to include data in a block)?

Yes, current fees are about 1 sat/byte.

This is really a write once, read many type of system.

onion-soup··on Bottle: A Bitcoin SV Browser
You can upload it using, say https://add.bico.media/.

Then you just share the transaction ID or sha256 hash of the pdf file to recepient.

Recepient can access that file as long as blockchain exists (basically forever).

And all this is achieved by OP_RETURN, a special op_code in bitcoin script that allows you to return data to blockchain.

onion-soup··on Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency: Privacy and stability concerns
Mining is done in data centers. Get over with your 'everybody is a miner' mantra. It was never meant to be that. Check satoshi's early posts. Do you own research before spreading bullcrap
onion-soup··on Facebook reveals its cryptocurrency Libra
>1000 tx/s

Nice try Zuc. But BSV can do 10k tx/s already AND it supports tokens as well

onion-soup··on Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency: Privacy and stability concerns
>Anyone can mine a gigabyte sized block on their own computer, but that doesn't make it Bitcoin

So you just pulling facts out of your ass? Read the white paper then come back

onion-soup··on Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency: Privacy and stability concerns
Yes it is possible and it is already done on Bitcoin SV (original bitcoin). Recently 128 MB block were mined as a proof that bitcoin can scale to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second
onion-soup··on Facebook plans cryptocurrency debut
Regardless if he is satoshi or not my statement is still correct: on BSV isntant transactions work and it scales to visa levels today. Oh, and he doesn't owe you any proof.
onion-soup··on Facebook plans cryptocurrency debut
>You can't buy a cup of coffee without paying large confirmation fees or delaying the transaction for day to weeks

Yes you can. On BSV which is the legacy bitcoin

onion-soup··on React Simple Animate – UI Animation Made Simple
It's kinda counterintuitive to have an element called <Animation />. What happens if I render it two times in a row before it's done animating?
