Sorry, do we have actual clear implementation details for Jev? I keep seeing these "recreations" or "Do Jev at home" but do we have access to their architecture? I haven't even used the product, I just find it strange.
The other answers to this question are good but I would also guess that this (comms on artifactory) likely happened during training as well, so they probably had a prior for it.
This was my thought as well. Literally take any halfway decent greybeard and point them at "Hey, give us a sandbox for this kind of thing". I honestly was skeptical that they just vibecoded the entire thing but now more than ever I think they did.
Related and not related. Fans of https://andymatuschak.org/ might want to know that he is now working at https://x.com/pico, which apparently has the same tagline as this article "Attention is all you have". But really truly don't click that link that site is a hellhole.
Not to shill but if you're struggling with apps on your (i)phone, I can't recommend https://www.foqos.app/ enough. My weekly screentime (as measured by my iphone, not true screen time) is <1hr. NFC tag is optional you can literally buy a candy bar and tape the barcode to an index card and that will work. The physical layer is massive. Now my problem is just limited to desktop which is easier to control.
This resonated with me. "Developing ideas and artifacts using AI breaks our normal intuitions along many meaningful axes and we've yet to update" is a really clean idea.
If I'm not mistaken this blog is from a person I had the pleasure of working with in undergrad for a course project. They were brilliant then and are still now.
Tangentially related, I love this website: https://vanya.jp.net/vtree/. My first interpreter had a flag -j that output the AST as JSON so that I could see it on this site.
