ollran··on FreeBSD 13.0
There was a webinar on TwinCat/FreeBSD: https://www.beckhoff.com/en-en/support/webinars/webinar-deta...

The Embedded Windows version didn't have that web console. Also, ZFS copy-on-write snapshots could be quite useful for quick backup/restorement when working on-site.

ollran··on A Brief F# Exploration
OCaml would meet all the requirements. Any thoughts on it?
ollran··on Ask HN: How to study programming language theory as a non CS student?
I personally started with The Seasoned Schemer, but I would recommend starting with SICP instead.

The best way to get into programming languages is learning different languages, play with them and write relatively complex applications in them. LISP and C are the most fundamental languages that will give the aha moments. In addition to those, I would learn Haskell and perhaps some object oriented language.

ollran··on Programming quotes
There was an account posting SICP quotes as well. https://twitter.com/SICPQuotes
ollran··on ShellCheck: A static analysis tool for shell scripts
It is also a quite nice tool for checking the POSIX compatibility of shell scripts. I find it very useful when working on Solaris or some other UNIX that does not use Bash by default.
ollran··on Tail Call Optimization: The Musical (2019) [video]
Clojure does not optimize tail calls because JVM does not support it.
ollran··on Linux 5.10 BTRFS performance regression
I use XFS too, but some large companies such as Facebook have adopted Btrfs on their servers.

ollran··on Thank You, Guido
I guess I have missed that. What was the change?
ollran··on Pizza Hut’s First Website
pizzahut.fi for me
ollran··on Using TypeScript with React
Because it's not backward compatible.
ollran··on Why Const Doesn't Make C Code Faster
That is how object oriented languages work. It is a constant reference to a mutable object.

  final int[] arr = {1, 2, 3};
  arr[1] = 10;
is valid Java.
