oliv5900··on SpaceX S-1
XAi purchased Teslas allocation of GPUs, in exchange for Tesla purchasing XAis allocation of GPUs at a later date. This they claim was done because Tesla didnt have their datacentre ready to receive those gpus at that time. I dont see how or who was robbed here.
oliv5900··on xAI joins SpaceX
Some people on here are such NPCs, you can give them all calculations, numbers and diagrams as to how this is not an impossible concept, and all they will say is "Thermal radiation is not efficient".

You can prove that the lower efficiency can be managed, and they will still say the only thing they know: "Thermal radiation is not efficient".

oliv5900··on Advanced Civilizations Could Be Indistinguishable from Nature
As long as Jensen can polish up some sand and sell it for 5 morbillion dollars, nature and economic growth is not finite.
oliv5900··on Brazil Supreme Court unfreezes X, Starlink's bank accounts after taking $3.3M
The fact that twitter revealed the (supposed to be secret) order is the exact reason why they got banned.

Imagine if Clarence Thomas orders Facebook that they have to censor any negative posts about him, and they cannot reveal the reason the reason for censoring, with the threat of getting shut down.

oliv5900··on FCC Approves Mysterious SpaceX Device: Is It for the Starlink Mini Dish?
> Also note that the Starlink constellation is probably going to be used in nuclear war, so think twice before buying ( ref: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1dgyujd/comment/l8... )

That is just some hallucinations by the twitter AI. It probably has no basis for that claim.

oliv5900··on Super Heavy has splashed down in The Gulf of Mexico
According to Elons tweet, they had 11 internal cameras streaming. Add to that the 2 external cameras and all the telemetry, that's some damn good bandwidth.
oliv5900··on Judge blocks 'unfathomable' $56B Tesla pay deal
Its the same package that had targets said to be 'laughably impossible'(1) when it was first announced.

Now that all the targets are achieved in a fraction of the time, its redefined as 'unfathomable'.

(If Mr. Musk were somehow to increase the value of Tesla to $650 billion — a figure many experts would contend is laughably impossible ...)

oliv5900··on Starship Integrated Flight Test 2 at 7 Am Central Time
According to Scott Manleys video, it seems like an oxygen leak. You can see below that from that point onwards, oxygen depletion rate increased.

Maybe this lack of oxygen led to the engines flaming out early, triggering the AFTS.

oliv5900··on Elon Musk Borrowed $1B from SpaceX in Same Month of Twitter Acquisition
OK so he took a loan backed against stock, then a month later he paid it back in full with interest.

That makes him a con artist how?

oliv5900··on DOJ sues SpaceX for discriminating against asylees and refugees in hiring
Depends on if that thing is praiseworthy. Then Elon is just a figurehead who knows nothing and does nothing.

But if its a negative thing, then obviously Elon is responsible and nothing happens without his consent.

oliv5900··on Andrew McCalip: "It might be a bust - we may be over"
> Well, I very much enjoyed the ride.

As the saying goes, Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

In my entire life, I don't think I have ever seen this level of friendly collaboration in the science community (both amateur and professionals) over something.

oliv5900··on Japanese population falls in all 47 prefectures for the first time

Mastodon: Extinct elephant-like mammal

> IDK, Mastodon sounds good.

Same people criticizing X for being a bad name. (it probably is, coz i dont know how they'll replace tweeting and retweets and all that, but still)

oliv5900··on Documents show scientist calling lab leak likely after paper claiming opposite
There is still no evidence whatsoever for the natural origins conspiracy theory (while the case for lab leaks is obvious and approaching overwhelming) and half of the English speaking world now believes it is the most likely explanation because of this kind of drivel. Are we all truly so bored of reality?

It’s one of the truly irritating mass delusions of the era and of course it’s on here, tracked in through mainstream news’ private pigsty.

What has been asserted without evidence, can just as well be dismissed without evidence.

oliv5900··on Court upholds Musk's win in $13B lawsuit over Tesla-SolarCity deal
So the trail court declares it to not be a crime. State supreme court declares it to not be a crime. But our esteemed judge JumpinJack somehow knows better? Bruh, please don't make this place into reddit.
