ohgodmarvin··on Show HN: Random Wikipedia Article by Category
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Currently the topics are picked from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Vital_articles/Level... which are all curated articles and most of them should be interesting.

But I am planning to expand by adding more articles that have greater than 10K words. I am using word count as a rudimentary metric to qualify articles initially. But I will probably require something a bit more nuanced eventually if I have to include all of wikipedia's articles.

Hi HN, I built this mini-project to scratch my own itch. I love wikiroulette but found that it almost always returned articles that were too short/specific. This is not surprising as more than ~78% of the articles on wikipedia are short articles that have less than 10K words.

I am mostly interested in history and could not find a convenient way to get quality articles that are history related and decided to build wikistroll. The articles are based on wikipedia's Level 5 Vital article list[0] and currently contains around 45K articles. Hope you find it useful as well. Any suggestions/feedback welcome.

ohgodmarvin··on Show HN: Simple and free Docker build as a service
Yes, for now the usage is quite low. I will have to reevaluate if usage picks up. I am also considering letting users link their own registries(DockerHub, ECR et).
ohgodmarvin··on Show HN: Simple and free Docker build as a service
As of now, these are the advantages.

1. Offload the work to another service.

2. Automatic retry in case of failed builds.

3. Get rid of Dockerhub's rate limit on pulls by using ECR(though ECR will also have a nominal charge if you are beyond the free tier and you can push to ECR yourself).

Beyond that, I am not really sure. I mostly just built it as a weekend project to see if anyone else would have use cases for it.

Hi QuinnyPig! Thanks for the feedback. I will push this out today with more details.

If anyone else is wondering the same, Quadzig is a Delware C Corp. Apologies if it's not clear from the website.

ohgodmarvin··on Show HN: A new tool to visualize and search AWS Infrastructure
Hi HN!

Founder of Quadzig here. I work with cloud infrastructure that's spread across a large number of AWS Accounts on a daily basis. I built Quadzig to make my life easier.

If you want a quick overview of the product, there is a short video available here - https://quadzig.io/#video

Quadzig solves 2 main problems:

1. Searching for cloud resources across multiple AWS Accounts is hard(Ever tried to find an EC2 instance with it's IP address when dealing with 5+ AWS Accounts?)

2. Visualizing and understanding multi-account AWS Infrastructure is hard(Which VPC is peered to which other VPC? Are there some orphaned resources in any of my AWS Accounts?)

The goal is to serve as a single pane of glass to search & understand complex multi-account AWS setups. I like to think of Quadzig as a sort of Google Maps for AWS Infrastructure.

If you have any questions about the product, I will be around to answer them. Thanks!
