I'd suggest Proton or another hosted solution unless your working on a team. Getting a single player game done solo is hard enough

Looks to me like the schools in the process of collapsing.

Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.
Not exactly sure if I'll end up buying a MBP later though. I basically only use my Mac for recording audio, and once you get your mic set up , your not too portable anyway
What are you skilled at , what are you selling
So you can have some 80 hour work weeks and 8 hour weeks.
I think if someone really ran the numbers you can make an argument you're wasting money by charging people for public transit. You'd also encourage less people to drive which could definitely help when it comes to the suburbs
This is a good argument to just remove physical turnstiles and rely upon an honor system.
My ancestors migrated from other parts of the US to California. If you want to survive you need to move.
You can also run Linux inside of a VM on Windows.
Or you can even have a dedicated gaming PC and a cheap Linux PC. Windows Subsystem for Linux can give you the best of both worlds. I don't love Windows, honestly I think OSX is the best OS, but I can't run it on anything but a Mac.
>When 90% of your Steam library works anyway
Epic, EA, and Ubisoft don't even have clients for Linux.
Originally I was going to work super hard to try to save up so much money by 40, but this sounds much more fun. Because 40 might slip to 45, 45 might slip to 50 and then I waste it what's left of my youth chasing money instead of seeing the world.
In much of the world you can live very well off of $1,500 a month, if you have a job which lets you save $30,000 a year, you can afford to only work every other year.
It works about 90% of the time, but in that 10% there are probably a couple of games you're just not going to be able to get working. If you're serious about gaining, there's no reason to just not buy a Windows license. You can duelboot
The smart people are leaving, of course if you want to stay in LA and struggle your entire life you're free to
The idea that were all on this team together trying to find solutions is naive, you need to do what's best for yourself and your family
I guess I'd be more interested if the tool generated python code or something, and then I can manually edit it, or one of my friends could send it to me so I can edit it. Don't get me wrong if this idea worked in practice I'd be all over it, but I don't think it will.
For example if I said something like hey I want all the NBA players but they got to be like a little bit taller than 6 ft 2. What's a little bit, once you get into any edge cases, or even have to clarify what you mean, you might as well just program it out.
For $1,500 a year or whatever, I get to use one of the most supported game engines in the world. Revenue share becomes a very bad idea if you actually expect the game to do well
Likewise I'm pretty good but I can't code in Assembly
From OP.
Even with an engine game dev is much harder than front end web dev. The depressed salaries are due to the amount of passion game devs have.
Then again doing something in Unity is much easier than building an engine out. I credit Unity with teaching me to program.
The next time I start a new project, I might use this for a landing page !
If you don't come from a stable household your teenage years are going to be absolutely horrible. You're going to know enough to understand that the adults around you should do things like pay bills, but they just don't want to. They'd rather buy new cars and get them repoed.
I make an absurd amount of money now, and I'm grateful every time I pay my rent. Honest to God, if I could change one thing about the educational system I get rid of the idea that your parents are responsible to pay for your college.
If you're coming from a bad household this simply isn't going to work, but you'd be the most likely to benefit from a scholarship or financial aid. What ends up happening is this gets locked behind your parents doing basic things like filling out forms, but they're just incapable of doing it.
I can't put in words how devastating dropping out of college due to this stupid system was. Through the magic of programming I was able to still establish a great career, but when you come from a broken home you're just going to take hit after hit after hit.
I often need to distance myself from what I guess normal people struggle with. I'll see something stupid on Reddit like a man in his late 20s complaining that his parents want him to get a job, and I have to stop myself from screaming at my computer.
Unless you only want to encourage open source video games, this is much more restrictive than an outright commercial license. Have you considered dual licensing at all, maybe I send you $1,000 or so and I get to use this in a commercial project.
I absolutely love rts's , I love looking at a project like this but I don't know if I'd be open to developing an Open source One
A significant amount of the homeless, really do just need a bit of help. But they also need to get out of California, it's by far the worst state in America for working-class people.
I guess if you get arrested in California after that maybe you get exiled to Siberia or something
